Some people will say that makes the movement disposable and Tissot is more likely to replace the entire movement when you send it in rather than repair it. However, it's an absolute spec monster for the price and I couldn't be happier with it. If it didn't have that plastic escapement and had an adjustable clasp, it would essentially be a perfect sports watch, which is crazy for the price.
