What are the best date fragrancesI have a date in a couple days and I'm looking to sample something new. Sexy, seductive, but with good performance (otherwise I'd just get The One)
>>18654868Grand Soir imo, but you gotta be like white and hot to pull it off
>>18654878It's really good but kinda hard to get a sample, I was thinking more about something designer I can easily get a small decant of at Sephora or whatever
>>18654883D&G The One is available in travel spray at Sephora at least in my cuntry
>>18654914Yeah but I hate that while it does smell good, nobody can smell it on youI want decent projection and performance. SWYI is alright but I'm not sure if it comes off as too fuckboyish
Going to a small gathering with friends and mutuals tomorrow. It'll be in an air conditioned cafe at night. Which should I wear >Bleu de Chanel EDT>Afnan Supremacy CEThese are literally the only perfumes I own (gifted lmao). Please help I'm autistic
>>18655057two sprays of either of those should be perfectly fine
>>18655062But which is more memorable? Note that people barely wear perfume where I'm from. Pretty young crowd too. Late teens to mid twenties max.
>>18655066literally anything is more memorable than BdC so go with the Afnan frag then (not that anyone cares about the frag you're wearing)
>>18655066probably the afnan because of the pineapple. people will smell bdc and think you are just wearing some kind of body wash
>>18655067>>18655068Ok let's say i go with afnan. How many sprays? I literally have no idea how strong it is. Though i spray 3 - 5 for BdC
>>18654861How about posting a picture or even better just typing his name instead of a YouTube link?>aintclickingthatshit.jpg>>18655057What flavor is your autism? If someone asks what you’re wearing will you feel weird saying Afnan Supremacy CE vs Bleu de Chanel?
>>186550742-3 sprays is fine>>18655076>will you feel weird saying Afnan Supremacy CE vs Bleu de Chanel?i just tell people im wearing aventus absolu
>>18655074anywhere between two and five sprays should be fine (depends on the crowd and your personal preference)
>>18655079>>18655080Thanks>>18655076I don't care if anyone asks. I want to smell memorable in a good way that they're compelled to even ask

>>18654736I'd buy Casbah if it were available. It's been sold for months now.
>>18654883Why can't you order the sample set from MFK's website?
>>18655192let's hope it comes back soonAvignon was out of stock for a long time and now it is available again
>>18655192*sold out
>>18655057I'd go with Supremacy CE, but either is fine really. It might be slightly less common, but if people tend not to wear frags where you're from none of them is going to feel basic.People will buy and large not be compelled to ask what you're wearing.
>>18655192It's available in Europe if you look around, but I'm having more and more doubts about it the more I look for info about reformulations.
What frag do you recommend to get invited inside the olympic village by an ice skating baddie?Better if it's not the one who choked tonight but I'm open to all options.
Rien is really good. It feels like somehow both a vintage and modern leather. Its feminine and masculine at the same time, not necessarily unisex but rather has competing elements of both. Big fan, will be wearing this to work tomorrow.
>>18655194I figured since I'm never gonna buy a full bottle of anything from MFK it would be a waste of money

I got a bottle of Oajan a few months back and really digging itUsually prefer 'light and airy' scents that linger in the air and not so much protruding from my skin, any recs on similar ones from the same house?I have layton and althair but I'm not really a fan of them so far to be honest, maybe they'll grow on me
>>18655091The Afnan for sure then, BdC is pleasant but forgettable. Anything with pineapple is a bit unusual, even if Aventus has popularized it. >>18655103It is. For a car brand frag it’s remarkably good. >>18655148Genuinely sounds interesting, wish it wasn’t a meme post. That said, I will say the re-treads of current frags all seem… uninspired. >>18655216Fucking kek that>from New Jerseygets mentioned in the same context as Alt and Gay>Also, Zoologist Penguin
>want to display all my cool looking bottles>apparently thats bad for them since light exposure will affect the scent if they are exposed for too long
>>18655339Do you live in a greenhouse? Just find a spot where the sun doesn't hit. I have all my fragrances in the middle shelf of my closet, I need a stair display, I'm going to ask the cabinet maker next door if he can make it. If not I'll just buy and cut some wood.
>>18655339So long as they’re not in direct sunlight it shouldn’t be an issue. True, you can get some minor degree of additional degradation from scattered light that wouldn’t be present if kept in a drawer, but it should be so minimal as to be inconsequential. >I keep a display shelf for my frags with the boxes immediately behind the bottle>yes I have a touch of the tism
>>18655339>since light exposure will affect the scent if they are exposed for too longThat’s just a myth, r-right?
Sauvage Elixir is a giga bvll move. It's a scent that demands a certain level of aura from its wearer. 6'+, 225lbs+, 30+ years old, 10 years minimum in the gym. It's not for boys or twinks. It's not for fags or queers. It's for men with the power to dictate the terms of the world around them. Cheap Arab clone wearers will cast down their eyes in shame in your presence, their blustery "beast mode" frags defanged and declawed. Women will melt around you, look for any excuse to sit next to you, give you a hug, lean in to whisper you a secret, for every breath they take teases their brain with the resplendent, seductive opulence and absolute sexual primacy that is second nature to the alpha bvll GOD. When wearing Sauvage Elixir, your touch alone can kill any male that earns under $80,000 per annum.
Question for the thread - How many of you that wear designer fragrances actually wear clothes from that designer?Obviously frags are the most down-market, accessible item from designers, but it seems like anything above the frag level purchase is a massive jump up in price. Picked up a silk shirt at a Nordstrom Rack a while back that is made by Dries Van Noten and the original price was $750.
>18655350>you actually took the time to type this out>kek
>>18655341>>18655345i have blackout curtains but there is still light from my lamp, ceiling fan and pc which i imagine are still harmful>I keep a display shelf for my frags with the boxes immediately behind the bottlegiwtwm
>>18655355Artificial light doesn’t have the same damaging properties as natural sunlight. It’s why you can get a sunburn from the Sun but not from (most) artificial light sources, like the ones you described in your post. >giwtwmYou too can have this power fren. 5 tiered glass display shelf. They’re relatively common. This pic is a little dated, I’ve re-arranged and changed some bottles out.
Why are these threads made by the same people who make watch threads? Why do they also have the same pace as Ukraine threads in other boards?
>>18655347No, heat and light readily degrade complex hydrocarbons. >>18655352I have a few designer items but dont own fragrances from those brands (other than some high end ties but those are similarly downmarket). I guess I do have an ill-fitting geoffery beene blazer and I have been known to wear grey flannel…
>>18655376Fragrances hit a certain autistic sweet spot of infinite novelty paired with excessive trivia and categorization.
>>18655378This place used to have the same pace as genshin impact goon threads but the perfumer anon went away
>>18655352>Calvin Klein fragrance and underwear>Eddie Bauer fragrance and pajama set>Ralph Lauren fragrance and shirtcheckmate
>>18655352I only have 4 pieces of Ralph Lauren apparel passed down from my dad. I don't really match fragrance and clothes by their brand, I'm more of a mood autist meaning I'll wear something like YSL Tuxedo with semi/formal clothes and probably Azzaro if I'm going to bar with my friends. My dad on the other hand likes Ralph Lauren so much he only wears Polo frags.

>>18655352Not reallyOnly ones I own clothes of are Calvin Klein, Margiela and CDG, but I don't own any of their fragrances. Might buy CDG Man 2 in the future or something like that
>>18655266I think his uncle Scrooge wear that.
>>18655352The only combo in my wardrobe is a limited edition of Light Blue and a mainline shirt in a completely different style. My other frags are niche or arabshit, and most of my designer pieces are from designers that don't make frags.>anything above the frag level is a massive jump in priceA Twilly costs less than a bottle of any Hermessence frag, and even if you don't count accessories it's easy enough to find designer pieces for good prices on the used market, but I don't think there's any relevance to that because frags from one or other brand live in a different realm than their clothes, they're targeted to a different audience, often made by a different company (L'Oreal, Estée Lauder, ...), and they don't have any more affinity to clothing from the same brand than to clothing from any other brand.>Dries silk shirtNice, good for you.
>>18655486>vanilla
>>18655489Me too but my decants are on top of a stand and they all smell richer than the same ones in the bottles
Just blind bought Aventus Cologne. What am I in for?
>>18655552>What am I in for?attention from other men
>>18655516Not all vanilla frags are bad
My mom don't like the smell of oud because it gives her headache.
>>18655579Get Rammstein Waidmanns-Heil edp instead. Western woods smell better than orientalic woods.
>>18655516>vanilla is disgustingIt might not be up your alley but that of vanilla is one of the most liked smells among humans (because there's vanillin in breastmilk, which we evolved to like). That said, I don't like Noir Extreme.
I found an old bottle of bleu de chanel parfum and when i sprayed it smelled like very harsh cleaning alcohol then dried down to a pleasant woody smell. Has it gone bad or is the opening just like this?
>>18655594I used to be a vanilla fan. I like the initial spray but their drydown all have the same cloying amberic sweetness. I now prefer vanilla in fresher fragrances such as Allure homme sport.

>>18655772yeah, probably
>>18655620Yes, spraying a solution of 85% ethanol will smell like alcohol at first. Never smell perfume immediately after you spray it.
