They will tell you they want a certain cut, it's always princess/emerald which is like the most expensive to get big, so dont. Anyway I got mine a perfect 1.5 carat princess cut, like perfect, vvs top tier, I forget the colour grading but it was top. When you have to buy these things you become an expert on all the little things that go into it. I have access to the wholesale market so it didn't cost what it would normally retail. She doesn't like it because her friends got larger carat cuts with shittier quality in a shitty round cut but women are stupid so all they see is "bigger = better". Only men appreciate quality. If you can get away with getting a manmade one I'd do that because the only time it would matter is if the bitch divorces you and then tries to hawk it, in which case fuck her anyway. If you do have to get a natural cut I'd get an african blood diamond if you can just because that's real and your girl will like it more (but wont verbalize this).
