Thoughts on Atlantis Handmade Grounding Shoes? I think they look kinda ugly but am looking for black leather oxfords and boots that have that handmade kind of look and are bendable and comfy (wide) but still look good. Do you think they look good?

I don't care about the grounding thing but I was looking at shoes likes that.
I'm little tarded can someone explain how that stitching works?

Probably something like this.

Black with a light color sole is super ugly

Dammit, now I want them. But I've had terrible luck buying shoes online lately. I've sent half of them back. I never had this issue when I was younger and I never have this issue with Sketchers and Adidas and Vans.
Every time I invest over $150 in shoes they somehow suck more than anything I can get locally for $40.
What the fuck? It should be the other way around. I should absolutely melt into expensive shoes and they should be better than anything else.
I totally love the look of those Atlantis shoes, and I went on the site. I'm thinking they look all soft on the outside but will be rough (requiring years to 'break in') on the inside. I can't trust pictures or testimonies or anything now. I hate having to stand in line in those places and return packages.

Goddammit I'm such an impulse buyer.

I just bought these. And on clearance so I can justify them, yet with that comes the caveat of no returns. So I HAVE to like them.
But after reading their sales pitch about how soft they are, like a second skin and all, I figured how can I go wrong? And 40% off, so how can I afford NOT to buy them?

I'm actually pretty excited. I think my luck is about to change. I hate that PayPal button. It makes it too easy to just buy without a second thought.

i have basically the same shoes from a brand called rhizal, also groundmemeing. they are very comfy and look pretty good, but are pretty much the least practical shoe option. great if you sit in an office all day or are just going to the store, terrible if you need to walk more than a couple blocks.

I'm hoping they will work out. Yours look good.

On the topic of barefoot shoes the only other brands I endorse at this time are: Tolos Archetype 2.0, and Bahé Revive. Tolos for the gym or everyday shit, Bahé if I'm covering any type of distance or running, Rhizal for going out or work.

I am tempted to try the Jim Green barefoot boots. I'm severely lacking in shoes for any sort of weather and end up wearing the Bahe's which are my running shoes if it's rainy at all since they're the only ones with good tread. I wish there were more brands making the some-midfoot-cushion type models like Bahé since concrete is fucking everywhere.

And absolutely fuck Xero and Vivo. I measured the toe box on the Xero's I owned and they are the exact same width as vans in the same size

Thanks. Ive had those for maybe three years? I need to do some Leather care eventually.
I flirt with Vans every now and again but besides that i've gone all zero drop wide toe box. I'm very tempted to get the "slate" black ones. I'm also very tempted to go see if a cobbler will put a vibram sole on them because idgaf about grounding and a little tread might be nice.
