My old Seiko Presage died late last year (the motion was completely rusted out and Seiko don't produce it anymore, so getting it replaced is off the table). I miss it. I looked around, and found the Garden Line, which looks a lot like my old Presage except for the half-textured face. My issue is that all the black ones are fairly expensive (expensive for what they are and their condition), and also not in decent shape. Rust, scratches, etc. I hesitant to buy one and have it die within a year for the same reason (rusted out motion). All the leather parts are still immaculate though, it's a very high quality shoe. Something to note is that all the stitching is 100% intact, which wouldn't be the case if I was still buying adidas shoes. Also they're by far the most comfortable shoes I own. The more I wear them, the better they get. They've molded to my feet, but like I said before they were uncomfortable for the first month. They have to last 7 times longer than a pair of Adidas sneakers to justify the cost, and we're well into the "second life cycle" already. If you're like me and you're sure this is your style, I highly recommend them.Also since the inside of the shoe is leather, I haven't worn any holes into what is normally shitty soft fabric.

I've decided to sell my green dial Tissot PRX powermatic 80 for this Beaucroft Element I stumbled across by random chance. I managed to secure a buyer at a sale price a little higher than what I initially bought the PRX for, so that's helpful. The Element is $650 after discounts so I have to fork over $200 after the $450 I sold the PRX for. I really can't wait for this to arrive, it's everything I want from a sporty green dial watch on a steel bracelet for work, along with some of the best dial design I've seen on a watch. I love everything about it, and the bracelet looks top notch (although we'll have to actually see if it holds up on wrist).Only thing I don't like is the 42 hour power reserve, but it has good accuracy at least. The PRX was nice but I didnt like the lack of micro-adjustment on it, it only had half-links as an option to get a better fit, and the sharp corners of the bracelet would sometimes dig into my skin in an annoying way. It ships March 10th so I'll probably have it in 1-2 weeks. Fingers crossed it makes it without issue.
