I am looking to buy a quality wool pea coat, what are some good makers? Todd Snyder and Schott looked nice but I am unaware of their reputation.
Budget is under 1k

I was literally about to post a thread about pea coats. I just bought a used Abercrombie "Italian fabric" one -- made in China. It's nice for 20 bucks. Here's a pic fom the web. I always thrift so I can make sure the look and fit is right.

My favorite is Billy Reid’s Bond peacoat but it’s slim fit with a sleeker lapel than normal. I wear a Schott NYC one more though.

I have one from diesel i think. It's nice. Olive, lots of pockets. Probably 20 years old now.

I found a US Navy surplus peacoat at the thrift store. Appeared to be barley worn. The construction seemed pretty excellent, at least compared to most modern clothes.

See if you can find an Authentic US Navy one surplus. I bought one that was Korean war surplus (1953 dated but never worn) and the quality is impeccable. Worn it for 5 years now on rotation and it still looks new.
