>sotd francesca bianchi the black knight kinda reminds me of polo green without any of the tobacco or sweetness. i like it but its not something id want to wear very often
>>18667792>polo green without any of the tobacco or sweetnesssounds based desu senpai
Could also post the anti-spammer post every thread like in the last one, don't wanna see montale sandflowers again
>>18667795i think so too. a 30ml is like 100 dollars and its not something i feel like i need in my collection right away but it is very nice
I received my Oud Minerale today, very happy with the blind buy purchase. I don't think it's that challenging at all, as it offers something both unique and familiar in the aquatics/marine genre. It's definitely a standout summer banger
I like Drakkar Noir and Polo, and I’m realizing what I really want is something in the middle, piney with noticeable carnation note and a mossy base. Lavender not necessary. Can anyone redpill me on Quorum, One Man Show, Pino Silvestre, Cerruti 1881, etc?
>>18667829Based, good beach scent and something actually interesting which is rare for TF. >>18667832Eau Sauvage? Maybe not piney enough for you. When you say middle, what do you specifically want it to be between?
>>18667832I have Quorum and Cerruti 1881 (both modern formulations). Quorum is not that good and/or special as some people would like to convince themselves, and most of the time I use it after shower/shaving when I want to apply something refreshing with green undertones. Cerruti on the other hand is a nice classic masculine citrus freshie, it's very identical to Boucheron Pour Homme and has a decent staying power.
>>18667832>>18667842Oh, and I also have One Man Show (again modern formulation). Very underwhelming fragrance with harsh/abrasive chemical undertones, even for the low price it sells
>>18667842>Quorum is not that good and/or special as some people would like to convince themselves, you are gay>Cerruti on the other hand is a nice classic masculine citrus freshie, it's very identical to Boucheron Pour Homme and has a decent staying power.and a noseletcerruti is a floral frag not a citrus one>>18667845>Very underwhelming fragrancetruethe loss of castoreum and oak moss have been catastrophic
Are the Chanel Exclusifs found at any airport? I want to buy Sycomore but I don't want to pay full price, and I know they don't do regular discounts. I'm just wondering if I can buy it at an airport and at least not have to pay VAT on it. But looking online at Duty Free Shops, nobody is advertising Chanel.
Blind bought these two clones since i didnt want to spend 200+$ per frag, the Turathi blue is very nice and I like Vulcan Feu but I think it leans more feminine than what i was expecting based on fragnatica reviews and might not be something I wear that often, i'm going to wear it out and about for a bit and see if my opinion changes but I think the Turathi Blue is very very good especially for the price. Has anyone compared it to bvlgri tygar because i have never smelled the original and was wondering what someone who has smelled both thinks.
>>18667852Damn, I knew I should've gotten that decant for Turathi Blue. I am curious about both actually but I like the notes for Turathi Blue the most. Let us know, anon.
>>18667852lol the design on these is fucking atrocious
>>18667869Have you seen the originals they are dupes of? Super tacky.
>>18667852>>18667867I hate normalfaggots
>>18667867I have turathi blue and it's just a sweet grapefruit ambroxan bomb. Good gift for a highschooler maybe
>>18667877i mainly meant the boxes, they are super cringe(for some strange reason Vulcan Feu has an okay-ish bottle, especially compared to its original but Turathi Blue is just ugly)
Neat(ish). My Masque Milano and PdE Discovery kits should be getting in at roughly the same time (assuming that French FedEx don't drag their asses). I will have plenty an enormous of time on my hands now to give completely wrong opinions that have been poorly worded because I genuinely don't know how you guys are able to smell some of the shit you do.
>>18667852If I wanted Summer but I didn't want Citrus as the top note what should I be looking for? Also not interested in soapiness either.
>>18667667i feel like the Acqua di Parma blue line fits perfectlyotherwise, stuff with sea water/salt notes can fit it too, like Sel Marin, Sel d'Argent, Oud Minerale and the like
>>18667928ginger
>>18667851Maybe at big ones or international gates. I went to the chanel boutique when i was flying domestic at Toronto Pearson and they only had the core lineup.
>>18667924>I will have plenty an enormous of time on my hands now to give completely wrong opinions that have been poorly wordedwelcome to the club, anon
Friendly reminder, especially for newfriends: if someone posts about or recommends>to wear more (classic) fougeres>montale sandflowers>9pm and flankers>bruno banani energy>aigner statement>interracial relationships>fucking their german/white/aryan gf>redheads>Mila KunisOr they make lengthy posts completely unrelated to fragrances and add "SOTD: [one of the frags above]", their posts (see pic related) are spam and you shouldn't take their opinions seriously.Ignore them and/or report them for off topic posting, spamming/flooding, avatar/signature use or ban evading (he's been banned countless times already).
>>18667829Oud Minerale is disgusting and completely plain but I'm happy you found something you like.>>18667851Not that I know of, and I've never seen them even at MXP, DUB, BRU or BER.Actually, the only places I've seen them beyond Chanel boutiques were upscale dept stores. If you're in the EU you might find one for a good price for sale in the parfumo souk section.>>18667867It's juicy grapefruit and a nice musky ambroxan drydown.I like it but I don't think it's worth the price, and I certainly think it doesn't live up to the hype.
>>18667924i will be following attentively.i will give you some advice that was given to me when i took some wine classes. when you smell wine, the goal isn't to be able to list every possible note, precisely describe the texture of the tannins or guess the sugar levels, but rather just to have a meditative approach to tasting the wine itself. by trying to take a moment to really think about what you're going to consume, you end up appreciating more. eventually, when you're able to pick up on these subtelties, you have a better understanding of what you like and it's easier to seek it out.at the end of the day, it's just about being able to say if you like something or not and then why. the rest is fluff
>>18667941>>18667950Thanks, Anons.
>>18667946Isn't Turathi like $20?
>>18667928Mint.>You or Someone like You>Viking>Menthe FraicheGinger.>L'Immensité>Indigenous GingerMyrtle, juniper, star anise, wormwood and other herbs.>Acqua di Sale>Paris-Edimbourg>Fou d'Absinthe>Costa AzzurraOr a more abstract ambergris.>Machrie
>>18667924Bah I don't like getting that many samples at once, I want to smell them all right away but things start blending together after a few different ones.>completely wrong opinionsI recommend you try to find smells you already know in a frag, either things you've smelled for real (lemon oil, jasmine, pepper, ...) or that you've smelled in other frags (ambroxan from every blue frag, etyl maltole from Angel and BR540, dihydromyrcenol from Drakkar Noir, ...), that makes it easier to pick scents apart, and giving names to things makes it easier to recognize them, smells/notes/accords included.>how you guys are able to smell some shitEither what I described above, or more likely by making things up, repeating official notes or repeating notes from reviews.>>18667961Yeah but there are so many good cheap frags nowadays that just being cheap isn't enough for a frag to be worth buying nowadays.
>>18667878me too, normal faggots that buy Wal-Mart and CVS tier frags like Drakkar, Quorum, Stetson Brut etc are disgusting reddit Indian tranny normalslime and should fuck off from 4chan
>>18667963Good list>>18667928Get a sample of Le Labo Another 13, my main spring/summer fragrance. It's clean and very unique. If you know what Iso E Super smells like, it's the dominant note in this fragrance, and it's done in a very refined way.
What are some good musk fragrances?
Are there any kouros flankers worth looking into? Even if discontinued
>>18667829I wanted to like it so badly, I wanted to smell like the pacific northwest, but all I smell is paint thinner
>>18667924>how you guys are able to smell some of the shit you doI feel my nose has gotten worse. I used to be hyper focused on picking out different notes. Now the only thing I can pick up on are broad accords and the things I like and dislike. I think I only go all in the first few times I wear something but afterwards I'm just trying to decide if I enjoy it or not.
>>18667928Why are you against citrus? Can you name the specific fragrances that make you dislike citrus? Even some fragrances that aren't for summer have citrus on the top, you're basically chopping most fragrances from contention.
>>18667880Is it Bleu de Chanel clone?
What does he wear, /frag/?
>>18668002sosprio/tygar clone
>>18667832Sounds like youre describing versace l’homme. I havnt rried it yet but its coming in the mail rn.
>>18667792Thats fucking retardedIt smells nothing like polo green you inbred piece of shit
>>18667924>I genuinely don't know how you guys are able to smell some of the shit you do.They don't. Frag enthusiasm is mostly just airheaded pseud wankeryIt's like wine snobbery but even more insufferable because by blasting yourself with niche animalic ouds you subject everyone else to your autism
>>18667963>>18667976Thanks
>>18667987Have you tried the ones on the flowchart?>>18667988Tonique is nice, it's not a lot different from the original though. Slightly fresher. Also has a cool alternate bottle. Body Kouros is completely different DNA. Interesting note combination but overall not remarkable.
>>18668023your nose is broken. possibly due to the stick up your ass currently
>>18668037ESL shitskin response
I tried the new Acqua di parma profumo millesimato, very toilety smelling, wonder if it is the ylang ylangSOTD: 1 spray of Lalique pour homme but I wasn't really feeling it today, so I sprayed Terre d'Hermès.
>>18668044english is my first language and im white, though
>>18668035Well, I shouldn't say not remarkable. Body Kouros is interesting if you consider it was the first YSL fragrance released with Tom Ford as the creative director. With that in mind, you can sense a somewhat similar style DNA to what would become the Tom Ford brand. Linear, limited notes, but unique profile that doesn't change much through the drydown. If you are autistic and retarded like me and that is interesting to you then check it out.
>start wearing frags to get noticed when I am outside>all the attention goes to my dog instead I am getting mogged full stop.
I went to a non-Indian barber shop this morning and I saw an Old Spice shaving cream. I wonder where he bought it. The smell must be really nice.
I just blind bought a bottle of Al-Rehab Dakar this morning. I want to wear it this Eid.
>>18668079>old spicethe White man marches on
>>18667987Jovan Musk if you like old school fragrances from the 70s/80s

>>18668073>all the attention goes to my dog insteadyou never had a chance, anon>>18668121skill issueit smells fucking great
>>18668121I got a sample of Burberry Windsor Tonic and it was a straight up neroli bomb, hated it. I feel you
>>18668144Have you tried Tom Ford Neroli Portofino?
>>18668156>POV: Tom Ford is your favourite brand
>>18668003Montale Sandflowers
I just tested Al-Rehab Dakar (spray) on my skin. Damn, the smell is strong even just one spray.
>>18667832One Man Show smells stink. Not as stink as Kouros, but still stink.
Bro this smells like seawater and bubble gumIncense my ass
i'm not going to use this so someone else can if they wish
>>18668068don't slander my boy ylang ylang>>18668071americans aren't white>>18668073put the frags on your dog?

>>18667924My order from Luckyscent arrived. Actually bit of overkill in terms of service from them. The package took a little while to move, but when it did, I didn't just get my order I got some complimentary Amouage decants. Order>Masque Milano discovery set (sold out on Masque's site)>Sultan Pasha Joyeux Extrait>Amouage Dia Man>Amouage Jubilation XXV>Amouage Journey ManThen as a promo on checkout they gave me a miniature bottle of Reflection Man if I just used the code REFLECTION. And finally, they threw in a complimentary bag of four decants on them:>Amouage Journey Man (yes, a second one)>Amouage Interlude 53 >Amouage Interlude Man>Amouage Memoir ManThey really killed it with this service despite the order taking a few days longer than I had hoped. My PdE Discovery is set to arrive on the 14th because the French dragged their heels, and apparently I ordered the Essential Parfum discovery kit like a month ago and it just now shipped. So, I have three kits to go through in total.
>>18668379The little Reflection Man bottle is adorable.
>>18668386And the Masque Milano opera card.
>>18668374Notes look niceWtf is rhubarb? i see it everywhere and read about it being polarizing
>>18668387Montecristo by Masque Milano is by far the least I've ever liked a frag. Even kerosene/diesel smelling ones hit me in a less off-putting way. Jesus Christ. Were they trying to capture the smell of Edmond Dantes' prison cell in Chateau d'If. Or less abstractly, it's like glycyrrhizin or fennel but for your nose. It doesn't actually smell like either but I have the same repulse reaction to it as tasting either one of them, or someone who tastes soap when they have cilantro. What the fuck. I gotta look this shit up and see who is into this.
>>18668404>celery seed noteI would hate this, too.
>>18668404Montecristo is the only Masque frag I have, was a full bottle blind buy. I love it, it's a cool take on a refined dirty musk.
>>18668406>celery seedIts awesome in coleslaw and cabbage salad, cant imagine it in a fragrance
>>18668379>Essential Parfum discovery kitall you need is BI and Nice Bergamot. Fig Infusion and Velvet Iris are great too ngl
>>18668156I've been pushing tiktok and reddit and indians to love fougeres to make this general seethe
>>18668407I'm sorry, man this is not my bag. The second half of the catalog is much stronger than the first, IMO. Ray-flection, Sleight of Fern, White Whale, Tango, Romanza, Hemingway (although it's from the first half) are all pretty cool. The box is real nice, too. I am nose blind at this point, but of the decants I ordered or were sent by Lucky (not including the Masque Milano ones):>Sultan Pashta Joyeux Extrait - Hard no. >Amouage Memoir - Hard no. >Amouage Journey Man - Not bad, but not a buy. >Amouage Reflection Man - Not bad, need to check it a few more times. >Amouage Interlude 53 - Already own a bottle, love it. >Amouage Interlude Man - Not as strong, slightly different profile, can see why they used it to make 53. >Amouage Jubilation XXV - Pretty good, but not good enough to make me buy it. I want the 40 decant because I suspect this is just like Interlude vs Interlude 53 scenario>Amouage Dia Man - Good, but leans feminine. Doing a comprehensive write up on all of these samples I have (or have coming) is going to take a long ass time for my ignorant ass.
>>18668416Oh, right, the box.
>>18668409Yeah same with fennel, I like it in food but I'm not sure I want it in perfume. That whole plant family seems divisive, like how some people hate cumin or caraway. I personally hate that celery-like hemlock note in Ormonde Man. It's so overpowering I can't stand wearing it. One of my biggest disconnects in scent reputation vs. personal experience.
>>18668387I wonder what percentage of the comical price of one of their bottles goes to pay copywriters, designers and whatnot. On one hand I hope it's very high, because I don't want to believe the owners are pocketing all that, but on the other hand I hope it's pretty low seeing how plain (not understated in a classy way, just plain) this all is.At any rate, L'attesa is the best iris frag money can buy.>>18668404>>18668423In case you've ever tried Sultan Vetiver, what did you think of it?
>>18668416what's good about white whale?
>>18668379The fact they’re finally doing spray 2ml decants is… good, but I still hold a grudge for them doing shitty 1ml dabs for so long. I suppose if I get desperate enough for something they’re back on the table as an option. >>18668386>Miniature that’s actually a sprayI wish this was more common. Enjoy your haul Anon. >>18668401I feel like this is some recent trend, or one of the oil houses is pushing a new captive that they claim is innovative and new “Never before could you distill the scent of… RHUBARB!”But yes I agree it’s weird.
>shit smells good as hell and is probably being worn by a ladyboy as we speak. Why haven't you gotten on the Mith train?
>>18668487I'm not trans but my gf is. I'll get her on it like I did HRT.
Any colognes or perfumes similar to aqua velva ICE Blue? Also any good recommendations on citrus scents?
>>18668477Actually, I am not sure how to use it. There doesn't appear to be a nebulizer built into the top, but also there is??? Nothing on the cap seems to be able to be manipulated. You need to gently pull it off to get access, from what I can tell. If anyone knows otherwise, that'd be helpful.
>>18668492>Citrus See the graphs
>>18668493Oh, my bad. I saw the little pink gem in the first pink and thought it was the spray nozzle. It looks like it is in fact a splash, no hose running down into the juice either. Oh well.
>>18668493>no atomizerWhy do brands do that?
What are the soapiest fragrances? For me, Colonia and Colonia Essenza are the only ones that smell like actual high-quality soap.

>>18668591ELDO Exit The King is pretty soapy
>open /frag/ after 3 years>still the same 3 schizos pretending to be 20 schizos>still posting the same shit frags>close /frag/see you in 2029
>>18668602k bye
>>18668379how much money did you spend on luckyscent? I used scentsplit because it was cheaper but luckyscent was my second choice>>18668404montecristo is the most disgusting thing I've ever smelled in my life>>18668471I didn't like white whale
>>18667988No, I had almost all of them and let them go.They aren't really interesting enough to hold on to, the fact is there are much better scents out there and the novelty of it dies out.Only kouros I kept was the most recent and I have 2x10ml minis of Parfum corps.
>>18668615The discovery kit was MSRP because it was otherwise OOS @$110. Then I spent maybe $24 on the other frags I actually sampled, Reflection and the complimentary Amouage frags were also obviously free. So, 134 before tax and shipping. If I had known they were going to give me Journey for free, I would have saved myself the $6 on that I spent.
I only wear fresh scents. I don't want to smell like a vanilla cigarette or a cinnamon bun or an arabic spice market. Oh it's freezing outside? Time to wear something fucking fresh again like I always do. Three frags is all I need. Percival, Esencia EdP, Orage.Always fresh, always clean, always pleasant.
>>18668615>Montecristo Yeah, it's obscene. I wish I could somehow get people in the thread to smell this sample just to see I'm not exaggerating. Truly terrible. That one Anon who likes it, no offense, but good God.
>>18668602reminder this is the only frag you need
>>18668646Maybe if you're poor and need to bum a ride to Macy's to get one good fragrance because you can't afford more. I'll not be limiting myself so absurdly, but you do you, chump.

Is Beau de Jour good? Some say it's just an overpriced version of Zino.
>>18668826>Is Beau de Jour good?yes>it's just an overpriced version of Zino.also yes
>>18668826never tried Zino but i love my BdJ. no issues in terms of performance either
>>18668826Yes but performance leaves to be desired considering the price. It has a few things in common with Zino but it's a different frag, it's cleaner, more herbal, more aromatic and more realistic, while Zino has a good bit of dirty patchouli and vanilla in the drydown. On an unrelated note, what's your favorite creamy winter frag?Creamy like Fat Electrician, Molecule 04, Ebène Fumé, L'Attesa and such, something dense but comfy and not ambery.

Was looking for some discontinued fragrances, and i was thinking, do any of u guys "Invest" in bottles which might get discontinued in the future? Also wanted to buy my mom pic related which is discontinued, but for the price i bought her a bottle of creed carmina, its expensive and shes happy
>>18668995I bought a bottle of Sartorial because there were rumours of it getting discontinued or reformulated because the recipe was too complicated. It looks like it's still up on the Pehaligons site with a new label, but I haven't heard if they changed the formula or not.
Looking to buy a fresh, inoffensive work scent that's on the green and classy side of thingsI like things like terre d'hermes, eau d'orange vert, neroli intense
>>18668778le male elixir
>>18668995I have thought about it but it's hard to predict. It used to be that only a handful of fragrances were released a year but now there are too many fragrances releases and discontinuations to be viable.>>18668999It might be valuable later on if the bottle is different because it's easier to date.

Decants arrived, so I've started my month of testing. Figured it would be better to take my time and actually wear them in occasions where I'd use the frag instead of just testing them all. Only used 2 so far.>Natura Essencial UnicoLocal to Brazil, great woody spicy frag for the cold days, didn't know I liked amber and myrrh this much so now I want more, please recommend me some. The more I feel like incense on wood and balms, the better.>L'Eau D'Issey Pour HommeI get why it's so recommended as a citric, it opens up perfectly with the yuzu and madarin, and the drydown is classy and clean. The projection though, feels timid, couldn't even feel it on myself after a few hours unless I press my nose against my skin but it did last around 7 hours. Would work great for >>18669017.What would be a nice occasion to try Black Afgano?
