Knit blazers y/n? Seems like a nice way not to look out of place being too dressed up wearing a real sports coat
stop posting the nigger
>>18674826Thanks, I bought a pair of 998 NBs since they were on sale and to bring in the season. My first pair of New Balances.
>>18674785Somebody is going to sperg about how Southern Tide isn't trad since it's a new brand

What's the best brand for long sleeved polo shirts (not rugbys)?

>>18675229>jos a. bankI didn’t think anyone under 65 shopped there.
>>18675235I got a polo from my dead grampa that fits real nice from them so I'ma see watsup
>>18674847I dislike them personally. I really hate items that are kind of halfway to the real thing. If a blazer is called for wear a proper blazer.
Who makes roomy chinos like this with a high rise in 2026? Do the classic fit pants from J. Press fit like pic related? I tried O'Connell's chinos but they were a bit too slim
I've never dressed tip but I'll need to dress nicely for an upcoming work event, like dress pants and a blazer. What can I get that's reasonable quality/price?
>>18675585>the npc question again
>>18675585>Pini Parma and Berg & Berg make good pants but they are more dressy>LL Bean has chinos similar to this but only in light beige>Ralph Lauren sells multiple models that are near identical but overpriced or tapered>Marco O' Polo sells linen pants similar to this but they are see-through>Strokeman's sells a linen cotton blend, but again, more tapered>NN.07 and BOSS sell chinos that are very close, but they are all synthetic blend AND overpricedIt's over>>18675613Suit Supply and Spier & Mackay

>>18675585QRD on the o'connell's chinos? Do they match the size chart? I was looking to buy a pair in plain front and double pleated.
>>18675743They will always tell you vintage trousers that were produced in Italy and France all had cotton-polyester lining and no one ever complained until we found out about microplastics.

>>18675955If you want to look like ass that’s a great suggestion
>>18675585Timecatcher (something like Bronson, can buy both brands on Olderbest) has a new model. 34cm front rise. Ignore the huge belt in the pic
>>18676022>Bronson
>>18676038Yeah you're right, I've already been through the "bro the legs are short but they have 5cm surplus" and then you have an ugly white line where the hem was undone. That being said some of their models are longer now. 1955 Classic Selvedge Biker Jeans have 84cm inseam for example.
>>18676238Also the model in the pic I posted is 183cm tall and the inseam is 77cm - not that bad.
>>18675613just buy quality brands off ebay or poshmark

Should I get a Brooks Brothers "Friday Shirt" if I want something I can wear untucked in the summer with shorts
>>18677709their miusa line is short too, at least mine are and they're ~10 years old and still look great. I want a few more untuckable shirts so I'm also looking for options. It seems like most high $ ones need to be tucked in unless you get them hemmed, but I don't have any real reference pics.>untucked ocbd ishygddt this is not trad muffy will crucify youI don't care. Quit being a dweeb.
Whats a good dark brown derby/blucher in the $300-400 price range?
>>18677789I know the Lands End "Sail Rigger" shirts are a decent length to wear untucked and they're super cheap
Is J Press as bad as the Redditors say right now?
>>18678196J Press has always been pretentious historyless crap
>>18678299I mean the quality, goofball
>>18675229this style of polo just scream current "old money" fashion trend to me. When I see guys wearing it, I assume they have no idea about actual trad ivy style
>>18674847There are other options among blazers you can wear to dress down to avoid looking like a clown in something like this. I may be too European but to me it seems impossible to be overdressed with a blazer. If you want to dress it down you can leave out the tie.
>>18679273Unfortunately yes. I pity the people who have been wearing these for years because they liked the way they looked in Goodfellas and now have to see every spic and nigger copy their look from Zara. It used to be cool, now it screams H&M TikTok "Old Money Core".
>>18674785>>18674785any good places to shop, especially secondhand, near Princeton and additionally in Manhattan? I'm traveling.
Are there any suede bucks under $500? I used to have a pair of the kenton bucks from J Crew but they don't make them anymore. Also open to any recommendations of shoes that would fill a similar role. Allen Edmonds has a suede wingtip that looks beautiful but my Park Aves are not my favorite fit and its the same last. J Press has some for $585 and Grant Stone doesn't have a tan.
>>18679866Try looking at TB Phelps, they even have the classic red sole.

>>18682613I was lookin at the Asphalte tough trouser and their composition section mentions 100% cotton but description says "touch of elastane". I was wondering how come they write 100% then, turns out elastane is < 1%.> Thank you for reaching out to us, and you are correct, the elasthane part is less than 1% which is why we indicate 100% cotton. The Elasthane part is strictly the minimum to ensure that the trousers don't feel rough. Why man, who cares if it feels rough
>>18682650Holy fucking kek. The absolute state.
>>18682650>> Thank you for reaching out to us, and you are correct, the elasthane part is less than 1% which is why we indicate 100% cotton. I also vary my email adresses. Am not through my own emails adresses yet but I will probably create throwaway accounts about it too.Never stop the harassment.
>>18678161thanks for the suggestion>>18678319I bought a chambray shirt and a cotton knit sweater on sale from jpress. Overall quality was ok if they're on sale imo. I wouldn't pay full price. This is the best pic I have of them without having to get up.The shirt is mediocre honestly. A noticeable step down in construction and overall feel vs other more premium options. This is not their made in USA line, so I can't compare. The knit sweater is made in USA and has a good feel and construction to it, but sleeve sizing makes me feel like a wizard wearing it. I buy L sizes to fit my shoulders.
I was thinking of getting my first pair of flannel trousers. I wanted these mid-gray ones (middle ones) but they're sold out in my size. Thoughts on either of the other ones? (light grey or light brown).I'm thinking the light grey is too light and would have too much contrast for a lot of winter things. I have a fuckload of light khaki/stone/beige/sand/etc pants so the light brown could either fit right in to existing outfits or would just be worth it. I have some light grey chinos and never seem to use them since they're so light. It's 8% cashmere / 92% wool and 350g so I'm not sure if the durability would be an issue.
>>18684852>8% cashmereThat has got to be absolute bottom of the barrel cashmere they're putting in there. Better to go for 100% wool.
>>18681399why do they never bother with tidying their room before recording a video?
T.M. Lewin is doing a big end of season sale right now.100% wool jackets and blazers for around 200€.100% wool trousers for under 100€.Shirts for 40 and T-Shirts for 10.
>>18675743Why don't they ever list the lining materials? Do people not care about that so they don't bother? I think I'm going to join you.
What can I do for smart casual outside of work black shoes? Like black chelseas like these are too formal. I think maybe if the leather wasn't as shiny but still. It's for use with mostly chinos. Not for sports jackets or wool trousers, but maybe one that wouldn't look out of place there but one that is much more casual think light grey chinos or stone / some kinds of beige chinos + a long sleeve merino wool sweater poloSo what can I do? Horsebit loafers would be too effeminate / formal I think. Possibly pennyloafers too. I prefer my pennyloafers brown desu. The formal kind of cap-toes? Does that even make any sense?!!?Or one of those weird minimal leather sneakers?!It just seems to elevate the formality too much vs brown so what are the middle grounds?
Where do you get good (and not boring) cotton knitwear?
>>18688231wtf are you trying to say with the red lines?
>>18688231Do not wear black shoes with khaki chinos
>>18688231tassel or penny loafers in brown or blackhorsebit is fit but depends on the fit of the chinos
Neewfag goy is here. How to dress in /tip/ style in a hot climate?
>>18690035Linen

i love the look of my penny loafers with chino trousers but they feel a little bit zesty when I wear them with shorts, so I usually just go barefoot or wear my birch CVOs if I need shoes.
>>18690600>so I usually just go barefootThe fuck? Wear sandals you fucking subhuman. Sandals are trad, classy and kino.
A curation of select snuff, chocolate, and sand suede shoecrafting from Alden is my endgame
Is there a simple basics guide for this style this general would recommend? I’m generally more of a hoodie/sweatpants guy but I just got hired for an office job so I need to look the part.
>>18693299I don't have an infographic, but some general guidelines for you.1) Don't do too much. Everything you add to your outfit carries the risk of detracting from it. Let the cut and color choice speak for itself and do not overload your outfit or clothes with gaudy details.2) Don't buy an entire wardrobe at once, but also never buy an item in isolation. Instead buy one outfit that you know looks good and enjoy wearing. If you wear it every week and look forward to wearing it then you know this way of dressing is for you and you can expand your wardrobe slowly. To start out you could buy a collared shirt, a fitting pair of pants and shoes.3) The closer a garment is to your body the lighter it should be both in fabric and in color.4) Don't wear sport socks when not doing sports. The color of the socks should match the pants or shoes.5) A dark jacket with light pants is easier to coordinate than the opposite, but both combinations work.6) Mixing the formality of the different items is very appealing because it can act as a slope to get out of your comfort zone, but it's difficult to pull off.7) Not every collared shirt is equal. If done right a shirt will look effortless and elevate every outfit without drawing attention to itself. To achieve this you shouldn't think of a shirt as anything different than a t-shirt of pullover. The fabric of the shirt has to be coordinated with the rest of the outfit. Don't wear a shiny fabric the like popeline with a rough fabric like denim or vice versa. If you want to wear jeans with your shirt you can try oxford weave. A button-down collar can make an oxford shirt even more casual but will also make it more difficult to coordinate with a jacket. Linen is a summer fabric and also inherently casual.
>>186934808) When standing with your arms hanging straight down the cuff of your shirt should cover your wrist and end close to the protruding bone close to the palm of your hand. When fully buttoned up the collar should touch the neck without causing any discomfort and tightness. After putting on a shirt raise your arms straight into the air and fold the excess fabric over your waistband. This will give you freedom of movement and make you look less uptight. when tucking in your shirt.9) For pants almost everything works but they have to fit the rest of the outfit. Choose a high or mid-rise. They should have a firm fit at the waist and buttocks and for the rest of the length fall in a straight, unbroken line to the ground with minimal contact to the body. Slight tapering is ok just don't overdo it. The more casual the pants are the more form fitting they can be without looking stupid. Depending on how much money you have to burn this will either be the most or least difficult to find, because of this you should be willing to compromise on quality. Don't be ashamed to check fast fashion stores. Classic mens outfitters operate on a very slow fashion cycle and many of them have yet to adapt to the renaissance of classic cuts offered in fast fashion. Cut and fit are everything so if you have to just bite the bullet. 10) Buy black or brown shoes. I could write more here but I'm tired of it.

>>18693485Feel free to make you own list or graphic
>>18693299there is usually a list of links etc. on the first post, but for some reason this thread does not have them. /r/navyblazer also has details and guides if you're interested.
>>18693299Are you sure it's a sport coat and trousers kind of office? Nowadays people will show up to the office in jeans and a t-shirt more often than not, unless they're in sales. Even so most offices seem to top out at "smart casual" dress code which is sneakers, chinos and a t-shirt or maybe a polo or shirt.
