I am washing my hair every 2-3 days with Syoss and Pantene conditioner. The way I dry it is that I do it fast with my towel (but not fully dry it) then slick it back with a comb and press it with a plastic hair band.It works wonders and turns my hair from wavy to much less wavy and straight-like. Problem is, I'm noticing that corners are turning into a slight norwood (I have no history of balding in my family, my dad has a full head of hair, same with grandparents).I suspect that due to this routine I am slowly ruining my hair, any advice?Pic related is what I'm going for

Hi op- hairstylist hereLike the previous anon said, male pattern baldness can skip generations. Just because your father has no hair loss doesn’t mean you won’t experience it.I’m more likely to lean that direction as opposed to something based on your routine just because traction alopecia is only really caused by tight hair styles, not wet styling, and the only other possibility would be if you had an allergic reaction to one of your hair products (which sounds unlikely because you’re only experiencing change in the corners of your hair line and no symptoms elsewhere.)If you’re worried you can get topical Minoxidil for pretty cheap these days. Apply daily and be careful if you have pets because it is extremely toxic to them.
