I’m staying in Tokyo for a few weeks and looking for a few addresses for thrifting etc, mostly Japanese fashion and techwear/avant-guarde stuff. Any good tips ?
>>18679895I just came back from Tokyo. I made a thread a months ago or something, got some good recs, i'll tell you what i think
>>18679895>>18679899I've been to like 5 different RagTags. The bests are the ones that are not in tourstity neghborhoods. If you are tall, you will have a hard time finding good sizes. The few times i found good brands, it was too small. Accessories in RagTag were total shit. They all had the same metal G-shocks for some reason.Same for Trefac (treasure factory). There was a thrift shop in a basement on Mejidori avenue in Harajuku, it was legit military surplus and it was big.The bes thrift shops where in Meguro (trefac, kindal and others)-BEAMS honestly, they seemed empty to me, there was like a few racks every level, i don't get it.-Nepenthes Shibuya, was like just an empty basement; You're better off buying on their site.-Kapital store (Meguro) was meh; not my style, it looks like Desigual to me.-Digawel (Meguro) very small-Sunhouse Shibuya was meh.-LaForet, ISETAN... only western luxury brands pretty much.-NewBalance flagship store, not worth going unless you want Ohtani shit. Also full of chineses.-Mizuno flagship store, not worth going imho. The only things i really liked (but i'm more comfy menswear, not techwear):-2k540 AKI-OKA Artizan (Akihabara), there's a store that sell real artisan made in japan shirts/jackets/pants, i bought a jacket there, very nice.-United Arrow in Roppongi Hills i liked (second level is for men, you don't see it from outside), bough a field jacket there

>>18679895>thrifting in tokyoyou're not going to find any deals in case you were hoping, only curated second hand shops with retail prices
Who travels somewhere just to "thrift" there? I will literally never understand the poor.
>>18679948it's not to save money but to find clothes you don't have where you live.
>>18679947I’ll take it desu. I probably won’t splurge like crazy but if I find a few nice tops or pants that’s good enough for me>>18679924Thanks so much man ! I’ll definitely check some of those out and report back
