I used to think that linen is the ideal fabric for summer since it is light and breathable, but it turns out that thin linen wears out pretty quickly. Cotton lasts longer but is not as breezy. Are there any alternatives?

Linen cotton blend? Not the most original thought I know but it does work pretty nice. I have one as a jacket and if it is up to like 80F I can barely tell I have it on in terms of added heat/sweat mode.
