Which one do I cop?
Left is slim and made of fine cotton poplin, right is fairly slim and made of very fine cotton twill.
My usual outfit is a dressed down suit, I work in a young environment and I'm usually the best and most formally dressed person.
I like the cut of left a bit more, it's slimmer, has a bigger and taller collar and smaller arms, though I like the fabric of right more, and I'm not all too sure about the busier details of left (stripes front placket) vs. the plainness of right (solid blue, french placket, more subtle collar).

They're both navy.
Even if you can't tell navy and black apart on your screen, and even if despite everything you still believe they really are black, play pretend and give your opinion as if you were looking at navy shirts.

NTA but both look black on my screen. You also need to show the suit they are going to go with; is it plain or patterned? Go with the opposite of whatever it is since I assume by dressing it down you're skipping the tie /pocket square and the suit color is probably not that far off from the shirt. Basically create some contrast.

Thanks for the input.
>the suit
I own more than one suit that I'd wear this with, most are solid colored and a few are striped, most are on the darker side and a few are lighter.
I'd definitely be skipping the tie and the pocket square wasn't even a consideration.

Depends on the suit, but left looks better.

Personally I would never wear stripes with stripes, and if you had something like checks it would likely be too much going on to combine them. Your best bet could be to just cop both and wear them as appropriate especially if you have that many suits.

Can I suggest some sort of enamel colored lapel pin to bring a little color back especially for the nearly monochromatic outfits. Could elevate things without being "anachronistic"

I can't do skinny or slim anything anymore, I returned to pre 80s crash loose fit, everyone should
