Does this suit jacket look oversized? I feel like such a dunce for thinking it would be better to size up, and now I've got it tailored. At least it was cheap.

The sleeve length and coat body are within the margin of what is acceptable, but is giving a mixed signals when combined with the slim lapels. The shoulders look one or two centimeters too large and are the real problem. The sleeve width is difficult to judge from the angles you posted but is not as important and likely in the range of what is acceptable.

Personally I think you had the right idea because a long jacket does look more elegant and in my opinion better, but the execution looks sloppy. Should have went with a coat that fits at the shoulders and back and then pick the "long" option many retailers offer. I like the flap pockets.

It's ok, it's slightly too long, the jacket, imo. But I like when labels roll lower down the body so I dont hate it. I hate the labels. I'm firmly in the school that says the lapel width should be half the width of the shoulders, yours are like a quarter of the width.
>>
Yeah the real problems here are lapel width and the overall stiffness of the jacket. Baggy suits are cool but it needs to flow luxuriously over your body, not crinkle up like a doritos bag

Totally agree with this assessment. Always get the shoulders fitted properly as tailoring to fix them is obscenely expensive.

How can you tell the shoulders are too big? It looks normal to me
>>

It looks a little too long on the jacket although technically you can reach your fingers under it so maybe not. Or maybe your arms are just really long.

If the pants can be worn a little higher that would raise up the crotch line hence become less oompa loompa propotioned but that would be a stretch. Shoulders maybe a bit too big, like a half inch to inch but it depends on what your natural slope actually is or not and we don't know.
