First for shitters.
A watch.

What feels better, Cartier sisters? Wearing a Cartier tank or getting a good old cock up the ass?
well, which one?
>>18689531A wet tongue up the ass.
>>18689531If you've gotta get a tank, might as well be Omega
>>18689532Neither. Skip the mountainjew middleman and go straight to the chingchong lookalikes. Made in the same factories, just 1000% cheaper.
>>18689532Hamilton is the OG, not even a question.
>>18689539Somehow Hamilton feels like larping with a fedora. The faux aged lume and the 60's milspec really appeals to the supreme gentleman
>>18689547i don't really feel that, but i have the black pvd one.
I think I'm going to sell all my sports watches and only wear small dress watches from now on.
>>18689574that's a huge dress watch though
>>18689531steel? Seiko. gold? Cartier
>>18689574Nice Nomos homage.
I have some conversation. What is the most overpriced watch in existence? For it's the mark xx. This watch is absurd. Looks of a chinese $50 shitter, not even a chronometer certified movement and all this for six grand on leather or 7 on bracelet. Simply moronic.
>>18689527>>18689531The only thing your posts tell me is that neither are confident with either your masculinity or wristwatch choices and so feel the need to put others down.
>>18689596Doesn't the XX also have issues with the movement they put in it? There's lots of complaints about these iwc calibres to the extent that the "safe" option is to just go for a mk.XVIII since it's the last "good" one.But yes, overpriced. In existence? No I don't think so. That's a high bar. On the rare occasion that I do a doubletake on a hublot, usually some old reference that doesn't look like complete shit, it always shocks me how much they're asking for them. No IWC is more overpriced than any hublot imo.
>>18689604Jesus, man. Clean your screen, change that strap and learn how to take a picture.
>>18689614He can't; he's too gay.
>>18689617The Tank is the most hetero of watches. Think about it>worn by virtually every famous male person in the first half of 20th century >literally named after the Tank ie the Renault tank from WWI>first person to wear it was General John J. PershingThere’s nothing as hetero as any of that.
>>18689596>poorfag cope if you really think it looks the same as a $50 chinkshitter, you've obviously never seen one in person, or you're one of those people that thinks a Hyundai is the same as a Porsche. online pics don't mean anything for watches. every watch in existence over $3k is "overpriced" anyways except for the ultra insane designs and movements
Heres what i want swatch group. I want this. But updated, i find it unfashionable and dated, not enough marketing push on this movement also. It would look nicer in a sporty 70s integrated or patek philip inspired by look. May as well bring back the Irony watch range.Tyvm and heil hitler.
>>18689604>>18689622>The TankYou call it "the Tank" because you found it in the tank of public toilets at your favorite gloryhole spot.
>>18689633get an IWC Mark XX instead.
>>18689644Sir i would like sub £300 and i might as well buy swiss “economy setting “ watches right from the source.Ty tho it looks ok. I see you quickly understood the design im after.
>>18689596You've never held this watch in your hand. You don't get it and you never will. You know who does get it? Elites, billionaires, politicians.
>>18689661I've worn these watches in this case before, even the gold ones. They're really nice but they're just too big for time only watches.
Can I ask why so many here love or own IWC?Same guy posting over and over?I genuinely never see them in the wild (Canadian)Just curious not hating, may not be my cup of tea though
Honestly if your watch and outfit don't give off this kind of vibe then I'm not interested in what you have to say about horology, fashion or anything else really
>>18689661>You know who does get it? Elites, billionaires, politicians. So, pedo's in the thrall of a specific group?Gotcha.
>>18689682There are at least two Mark XX owners (one who posts his watches next to his turds and one mentally sane) and at last two pilot 36 owners. No Ingenieur owners, so you know it's not marketing, otherwise IWC would not shill only their cheaper models. What's to love about IWC? It's the anti-Rolex, people don't know or care when you wear one. You can wear it in London or Detroit no problem. Yet, you just feel the quality of it.That's a watch you can't understand just looking at pictures, it's more about how it feels, it sits very low on the wrist, the bracelet is best on the market (even compared to oyster bracelets), the case is not top heavy. You may understand when you see comparisons like this, and people who own both chose the Mark XX over the Aqua Terrahttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnw8BEuVujg
>>18689685Your logical fallacy is thinking anyone gives a rat's ass about your opinion.
>>18689682Comparing the two because they are direct competitiors: left Aqua Terra vs right Mark XX>thicknessMark XX wins; only 10mm compared to 13mm AquaTerra>Power reserveMark XX wins with 120 hours, double than Aqua Terra 60 hours>Water resistanceAquaterra wins at 150m against 100m, but the Mark XX is not even supposed to be a diver
>>18689696which is why, some people go to a store to buy an Aqua Terra, then try on the Mark XX and end up buying the Mark XX.
>>18689696How tf is the aquaterra a competitor to the Ma4k XX? Does the Mark XX know they are competing?
>>18689691>>18689696I mean you are somewhat convincing me to go check them out.If not looking for a Rolex the next options have always been semesters (also like railmaster) and a few Glasshute Originals (chrono/senator)Just not a huge fan of aviation watches and the IWC seem to look/wear bigger than they are (also find this with popular nomos models like the club)I think the 36mm on the stainless bracelet may be worth checking out, unironically
>>18689696this is retarded, you can pick every second shitter on aliexpress and it obliterates aqua terra in numbers and you wouldn't take it over the omega
>>18689709Except the aquaterra has a good bracelet without sharp edges or damaged pin threads, and the movement isn't going to brick or get helicopter rotor within a year?
>Omega vs IWC
>>18689696>Mark XX wins with 120 hours, double than Aqua Terra 60 hoursThis movement, nay, basically all 120hr movements out are flawed in some way or other be it a rolex caliber or some swatch shitter whose parts are made in china. Not saying the cuck-axial in the omega is "better", but I'd go with tried and tested stuff rather than some 120 shit that is riddled with issues. Are you wearing the watch or not? If you're wearing the fucking thing you don't need more than 48hr power reserve.
Kofé time.
>>18689498Nice watches (for women)>>18689604You wear a womens watch and it looks fucking stupid. You just need to accept you fucked up and buy a larger tank.
>>18689633Looks like some freemason occult shit
I think this one is pretty cool. Came out in 2006, 42mm, 60ATM, antimagnetic cage, crystal won't blow out from pressure, vajoux 7750, cool bracelet
Candlelit coffee time.
>>18689696Shorter lug to lug, better shaped lugs that will conform to wrist better than that flat cutoff shit, thickness mitigated by bulging case back that will sink into wrist, 60hrs is plenty enough and probably keeps better time. Aquaterra wins.
>>18689736Looks like septic water, not real kofe
>>18689532Gee, at a thousand dollars each why even choose? Just get both!
>>18689622Why do you keep doing this? You have a whole tank thread already about how "masculine" it used to be to wear small watches. I have some too, but I'm not on a crusade like you are this week. WTF?
>>18689629This guy again with the fucking Porsche analogy. Take more pictures of your ball pubes and skidmarks, faggot. You're an anomaly here with your expensive watch and your immature gross-out posts.
>>18689633Hitler?Man, I thought you were okay for a while.
>>18689661What a fucking kissass you are. Do you feel somehow closer to those 1% people when you wear that fucking stupid watch? Do you feel like you have some of that "elite" power you respect so?You don't "get it" either. You take pics of your toilet, incel. Are you some trustfund bitch or what? You didn't earn a single dime on your own.
>>18689685>give off this kind of vibeFuck off with that. You people are wearing watches for attention or to display something to others. Very insecure.
>>18689718Your parents must have neglected you.
>>18689741That's foamed milk. It's an "Italian style" coffee. They've been a bit of a thing outside Italy for about 35 years now.
>>18689756poofter, drink real kofe
>>18689750It was a dig at the europeans that didnt go to war. Dont worry i believe in world peace. Swiss are very strange people.
>>18689750That message was for the swiss watch business conglomerate that probably lurks these threads, as these i believe can be very influential.Still though ill drop the namefag and go back to lurking if im being too hyperbolic. I shitpost btw. Sorry ill come back in like a week.
I currently own a full gold watch and was thinking about additionally buying a more everyday-friendly ‘one-and-done’ steel watch. But after giving it some thought, every steel watch feels kind of boring after a while. Now I recently came across the 37.5mm Nautilus 3800 in two-tone from the 80s, and I find it really, really charming. I’m kind of tempted to buy it as a sort of everyday / many day watch. What do you think?
I think I'm gonna get the Mido Ocean Star 39 as my one and only non-quartz watch. Do you guys have any recommendations or alternatives in its price range? I was first thinking about getting the prx due to its versatility but the more i looked at it the more i felt like it lacked character. I was also considering the Hamilton Kakhi Murph but I'm still not sure about it either.
>>18689736>>18689718Kof
>>18689721>Nice watches (for women)Say that to my face. Pic related is the first person to have worn a Cartier Tank. In fact it was designed and created for him by grateful Frenchmen whose nation he liberated. Does he look like a “woman” to you?
>>18689718#vibes
>>18689853I've fucked uglier women.
The only good watch iwc ever made is the portugieser and that's the end of it.
>>18689747I don't like the comments in that thread from mostly that one guy because they're very obviously sour grapes trying to put someone down just out of pure jealousy. "It's not 1930 anymore. You don't need to wear a small watch" "Its for ladies!" That stuff is purely coming from a place of jealousy not any legitimate criticism. You really think some guy posting a Credo "whoa look at me!" shitter watch is anything but jealous at a gold Cartier from the 50s?
>>18689780Poofter? Is that an exclamation of some sort? And nowhere in the world is coffee called "kofe". You people are retarded.
>>18689874Why would he need to be jealous? He could probably buy multiple examples for what the credor cost if that's what he wanted.
>>18689828If you enjoy it and you know you can pull it off then go for it. But 2 tone is dreadfully out of fashion woth little signs of coming back, it's pretty solidly cemented as boomer shit at this point. Do companies other than the big old ones like rolex and omega even do 2 tone anymore?
>>18689898dumb avatardfaggot
>>18689884>dreadfully out of fashionlol, yeah. Your finger is on the pulse of what's 'hot' and what's 'not' this fashion season.
>>18689898Lovely timepiece.
>>18689884>and you know you can pull it off then go for it. But 2 tone is dreadfully out of fashion woth little signs of coming backLol, bro used the homosexual argument.
>>18689898maybe I should actually just get a weekdater after all.
Cake Time
ive always irrationally hated iwc and longines. id rather wear pretty much any omega or gs
i also fucking hate panerai
>>18689915Yes.
>>18689915>censoring the feetMy man not taking any chances
>>18689752>NOOOOO YOU CAN'T ENJOY ESTHETIC THINGS, YOU HAVE TO BE SURROUNDED BY UGLINESS ALL THE TIME AND FEEL MISERABLE LIKE MEEEEEEEEE
>>18689935What? You're apparently retarded.
>>18689870The history of the Portugieser is hilarious>couple of fat hairy portuguese (((merchants))) request a watch with a longer power reserve>IWC engineers take a 43mm pocket watch, weld 4 lugs onto it and attach it to a strap>WE'LL CALL IT THE PORTUGIESER>portuguese (((merchants))) go like "ah this is nice"It's a grotesque and almost unwearable watch if you don't have 18cm wrists. The fact it has a super thin bezel and (usually) a silver dial makes it even larger on the wrist.
>>18689940
>>18689950
>>18689950Why are you talking shit on the 36mm explorer? I just ordered the Octopus Kraken version of it with the SW200 upgrayedd. Supposed to be awesome. Are you telling me I'm a gay little girl now?? FUCK
>>18689855Why does it not have a crown?
Hey guys, I'm new here. If I want to post a pic of my watch, how many minutes should I wait before replying to myself with "based"? Can I also use a gigachad image?
>>18689902>>18689911I don't mean it in a "but it won't match your blouse and jorts!" kind of way, I just mean people are over the aesthetic of 2 tone and it carries a sleezy used car salesman vibe for most people.
>>18690013Lol bittercel, seethe more.
>>18690024That's not Bittercel. >>18690013 used proper capitalization.
>>18689976Rolex gave the game away when they brought back the 36mm Explorer. They didn't discontinue the 39/40mm Explorer, and they gave the 36mm version a 19mm bracelet instead of the 20mm bracelet it always had. It's clear that Rolex intends for the 36mm version to be a Rolex sports model for women, like the 37mm Yacht-Master they used to make.
>>18689940They wanted an ultra accurate chronograph watch, actually, and at the time the easiest way to offer that was with big pocket watch sized movements so that's where they started and that's why the case is giant.I get that's part of the legacy of the line, but there's no reason it has to persist today for any technological or practical reason. Especially the time only versions, there's absolutely no reason the time only with small seconds versions have to be 40mm diameter and 12mm thick in current year. They would be so much better if they could get them under 11 mm thick like the pilot watches and maybe around 38mm diameter. Because otherwise it's a really great case.
>>18690048Ideally they should make watches in multiple sizes, like Rolex does with the OP or the way Cartier does with basically all of their watches. They understand that there is a certain size watch for a certain size wrist, in the same way that shoes are made in different sizes for different sized feet.
>>18690048>They wanted an ultra accurate chronographThe original Portugieser was a time only watch. The chronograph version came way later (in the 90s or something).
>>18690054Meant to write 'chronometer'?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXnvJ601hjoWhy this poorfag whine too many watches when he can't afford all of them?
>>18690052Sadly most watch buyers are middle-aged men who grossly overestimate their wrist size and/or simply don't care and want the largest amount of metal for their money.I can assure you that 99% of the shitposters who call your 36mm watch a "girls watch" actually have 16cm wrists and would look ridiculous with a 41mm Datejust. It's a below average/average IQ male thing, amplified by social media "flex culture".>GRUG SPEND BIG MONEY SO GRUG WANT BIG WATCHThis also explains why retards always buy a diver or a chronograph as their first watch.>IT HAS MORE STUFF SO IT'S MORE BETTER DURRRRSeriously. Just go to the poorfag watch thread and the only watches they discuss are $50 chink chronograph with purple and orange dials and shit. Fascinating.
>>18690072I won't watch this video because fuck e-celebs but the watch industry is indeed over-producing.Do you think it’s healthy for a $10K Omega released 6 months ago to be selling at 30-40% below retail on the grey market? Not only that but some brands could disappear overnight and nobody would notice. Who even buy Girard Perregaux watches at retail?
>>18689870>lookedI would like it if it was sword hands, not those denty classical hands
>>18689685Top left is awesome.
>>18689884>>18690018Yeah, you’re right. Two-tone is definitely a bit bold and not really in fashion right now. On top of that, the watch is borderline small. Officially it’s 37.5mm, but in the only video where a Day-Date 36 and a Nautilus 3800 are shown side by side, the Nautilus actually looks slightly smaller than the DD36.Still, I get the impression that it has a certain charm and looks intentionally chosen - assuming anyone even notices, since most people don’t really pay attention to watches anyway. For the same price, you could of course get a stainless steel AP Royal Oak 41 or 39mm as a very solid ‘one-and-done’ steel watch. Which is unquestionably a beautiful piece - but it would also be the more 'rational choice', and therefore the more boring one.
Just bought a Kuoe 90 008 in 34mm
>>18690073>a diver or a chronograph as their first watch....man, if I had only known where my watch tastes would end up, I could have saved so much money.>Don't buy that diver, anon, this is your future self speaking. It looks dumb, you don't dive and you don't even like watches on bracelets. You will have a Garmin and a collection of dress watches.
>>18689746Not sure what you're trying to say
>>18690146His wife left him
>>18690159it's brutal when you need to pay something like 2k in alimony each month, puts watch spending in a totally different light
i have a ~7.1" wrist, in pov 35mm/36mm looks okay but sometimes looks a bit goofy in the mirror. there's a real sweet spot around 38/39mm that i wish was more common. looks big enough in the mirror, doesn't look huge from my pov. i still like some smaller watches like my prx, but i do prefer somewhat bigger. hell ive been wearing a g shock the most lately. pic rel: 35mm prx vs 39mm seiko.
>>18690218Left looks good, right is bordering goofy. 7" isn't even that small of a wrist, males you wonder who even wears these 40-42mm dinner plates on

>>18690338>Does anybody really give a shit about a "full kit"?If it's a watch you plan on selling in the future. i.e. a watch you aren't 100% sure is a lifetime keeper, then boxes and papers will make it easier to sell in the future.Plus, certain pieces that are commonly faked, the boxes and papers give buyers a better sense of security that it's not a fake, since scammers are less likely to bother fabbing up some warranty papers for a fake serial number to satisfy someone super anal about being genuine when there are a million people who won't question.
>>18690344I get the principle, but that doesn't translate for a number of reasons. Few people on the used marked are interested in paying full price for you sloppy seconds just because you treat watches the way you treat your funko pop collection. Also, a quick search on ebay and you will find that papers and boxed are being sold on their own. Any scammer who wants to can and will dupe poor souls who think a piece of card and a box is a sign of authenticity. In a way, the widespread of those full kits actually makes it easier to dupe people.

>>18690524Haha! Even the caseback is glued-on! Is that poster putty? That’s incredible! Keep posting it. The “purists” must be shitting their pants over this! I love it!
>>18690526It was taken apart by a jeweler and put back together.
>>18690526That’s not glue, that’s the copper in the base metal underneath the plating corroding. Real Must de Cartier Tanks didn’t do that.
>>18690415What exactly do you say to walk in and get such a discount?
Thoughts? Sure it's not high fashion, but it's cheap and has some useful functions. Looks good enough, right? The price is 67.78 USD / 57.72 EUR
So, big shots, is this how you shop? Are any of you one of these watchers? Do these look like deals? Do these numbers get you excited? Or is this also considered déclassé behavior you'd never want your personal 'AD' to find out about? hahaIs there a level of snob where you look down on a Tudor or Rolex owner because of how or where they acquired it, or do you just welcome them to the big boys table with a hearty salutation?
>>18690528No, it might actually be glue. The jeweler took it apart and glued it back together, I believe. I know he appraised it as real and he actually works with Cartier.
>>18690535I fucking love this guy.
>>18690532Smart watches. Engineered obsolescence. Designed to keep you connected to the net, requiring a charge, requiring your phone. For that same $67 you could get all this. It's still from a Chinese factory and probably won't last you a lifetime, but it does look cool and has great specs and will never need a charge beyond you wearing it. You probably won't service a $67 watch, but should it somehow acquire sentimental value for you and also somehow develop problems, the NH35 is fixable and easily replaceable. One of the most sturdy and trusted automatic movements on the market.
>>18690538>but it does look coolLet’s not go crazy, here. The entire premise of the watches you posted is predicated on the idea that people with poor eyesight will assume you’re wearing a Rolex. The second someone asks “Is that a Rolex?” and your answer starts with “Well, actually…” all your stolen coolness evaporates. No matter how long you explain how good a Chinese-made watch may be for the money, they’ve already written you off as wearing a fake.>B-but it’s not a fake, it doesn’t say Rolex on the dial!Doesn’t matter, normal people don’t know what an homage is. It’s just a fake to them.
>>18690524Are you homeless? Did you find this in the trash?
>>18689613What about Richard Mille?
shitters.
>>18690542Normal people don't know what a Rolex is either. You guys and your whole "status" angle and caring what OTHER people think is frankly really sad. The guy wanted to spend $67 on a watch and I gave him another jumping off point to different options. I've found enjoyment in homage watches. Especially the more obscure ones that aren't recognizable to anyone but very educated watch people. As a former "normal person" myself, I couldn't have spotted a Rolex or an Omega or any other watch at all just by looking at it. I knew what diver watches looked like and what dress watches and trench watches and digitals and 80s Swatches looked like, but I didn't know what any of them were called. I still find "sports watch" to be vague. As kids we had Casios and I had a colorful ani/digi Armitron in 5th grade I thought was great. I knew Grandpa's pocket watches didn't need batteries but I kind of assumed wristwatches were all quartz. I know Ted forgot to wind his watch in Excellent Adventure, but never knew anyone with that kind. I'm an educated guy but just never was around watch people or took interest in watches until last year. Your assumption that normal people know what Rolex is supposed to be and will approach and ask you if it's real is hilarious. I have been introducing my friends to the world of watches and most don't know anything either. Do all of your real world normal friends know about watches? My friends are 30s through 50s and while some knew more than I did, none were watch enthusiasts. They either don't wear one or they wear ONE, being quartz analog, quartz digital, or smartwatch. No one in my circle was into automatics. Couple of Eco-Drives, Timex, G-Shocks of course, and smartwatches.
>>18690544>>18690545>>18690546I believe you, dude. They're just trying to get under your skin. Trolls and jerks abound on this forum.
>>18690564I saw a video recently saying RM is dialing it back and starting to make some normal and decent watches.
>>18690538>Smart watches. Engineered obsolescence. Designed to keep you connected to the net, requiring a charge, requiring your phone.I can charge it overnight. I like the fact that it connects to my phone and shows me notifications so I can see them by just looking at my wrist, instead of getting my phone out of my pocket.
>>18690566>I don’t care about status or what other people think.>I’m going to buy a very cheap copy of an expensive, prestigious watch that I can’t afford and tell everyone how much better the cheap version is.Does the constant cognitive dissonance give you a ringing in your ears?
>>18690572Yeah, most people like shit like that. You should definitely get that watch if that's a good price for that sort of thing. If my boss could bug me on my wrist I would fucking hate watches. But I'm a flip phone guy. I don't do 'notifications' in my life. I don't have a boss even. Enjoy the rat race, sucker!
>>18690566>Normal people don't know what a Rolex is either.Rolex’s brand awareness among the global population is up there with Disney and McDonalds. Everyone knows Rolex.
>>18690574Well it's not an expensive or prestigious watch in my eyes and like I just told you, none of my peers would know either. I don't care what anyone thinks of my watches and I don't tell anyone that it's better than another version of it. I'm sure the finishing on your five figure watch is very detailed or smooth or intricate or whatever. I just said $67 will get you a hell of a lot of watch. You have no argument against that if you're going to debate in good faith. You can't tell me it's not real steel or the movement is fake or they're lying about the crystal. We know that's not true. You can just sell me on the "history and heritage" and the "design language". And yeah, the fine finishing and complex movements sometimes. Sometimes. I don't think homages are better. But I can afford the real thing. Obviously. I spent over $1,000 on 3 watches in the last 3 or 4 days. That makes a baker's 92. Sure, I could have gotten a used Rolex Oyster Submarine or whatever for that, but I have no fucking interest. Accept that there is no "right way" to collect watches. I love the way I do it. Clearly, as I can't fucking shut up about it. You guys made me. You created a monster and now you're stuck with him!
>>18690576Duh. They know the NAME. They don't know it on sight from across the room.
>>18690580>You have no argument against that if you're going to debate in good faith.Automatically discounting any argument as being “in bad faith” before its even is itself arguing in bad faith.
>>18690524>>18690458>>18689604>Guys! I found a brand new Cartier!
>>18690582Hey, sorry if you're new or the one guy who hates all "shitters" and then doesn't proceed to tell me seven bullshit reasons why they're bad. I've only ever seen bad faith arguments here on the topic. Aside from the people who think the history and originality deficits are reason enough to not buy homages. There's really nothing else to use to argue with. Those things are not important to me but I don't pretend they don't matter to others. I'm just not having any of the bullshit "chinesium" arguments. I know it's not true firsthand. And as I keep mentioning, there's an entire industry of impartial reviewers testing and reviewing the watches and looking for defects and actually affecting change as the factories make new ones. The shitty shitters are known and the good ones are too. There's a whole world out there that doesn't know or care anything about watches. But even if everyone knew as much as the people in these threads I wouldn't have any shame wearing my watches just as I don't have shame posting them on here when they come in. I'm happy to report any issues. I'm essentially testing them out for the board and saying I can endorse them if you don't trust the youtube people.Don't you want to see if there's a huge "I told you so" in store for me? Surely these are unoiled or made of plastic or somehow "fake" and in, I don't know, two weeks maybe, they'll all go tits up. And it will prove that Seiko really IS the best way to spend $200. If you're POOR. Because really watches are for the wealthy and refined gentlemen everyone here pretends to be. I see a guy posting his "luxury" watch at the toilet every day. Wouldn't want to stink up that kind of thread with homages.Aren't all divers homages of the 50 Fathoms anyway? It's cool when Tudor does it because those are rich people homages. People with 'status' buy those ones. lol
>>18690589Ι just hope that this is AI or something. If not, my dude, please take a break from this general. It clearly doesn't do your mental health any good. Imagine if your father read what you just wrote. Do a digital detox for a few days.
>>18690584Is he saying it's new though?
>>18690590He’s been having a manic episode for a while now.
>>18690589There’s a sub-500 dollar thread where I’m sure posters would appreciate your quirky, offbeat personality and edgy sense of humor. Why don’t you go there? Posters here don’t like you. The only reason you’re here is to troll.
>>18690590My mental health? Quite the opposite. I was in a blue funk for a while and hadn't been pursuing my hobbies. My dad left me a Swiss made gold-filled handwind I found after he died. He'd be proud that I found a way to start to move on from his death. That I am spending some of my money on things that make me happy. I'm not arguing with you out of anger but passion. I've learned a lot and keep learning more. And a lot of people here have an approach to the world that makes me laugh or feel sorry for them. Where's the confidence? Everyone so afraid of being judged. I'm not going to take a break. I'm slowing down on the buying, or I was for a few weeks there, but I love it as much as ever. The shine is not wearing off. The honeymoon continues. I change watches ten times a day. I love them all and wish I was an octopus so I could wear eight at a time. This does not threaten YOUR way of enjoying (and maybe even collecting) watches in any way. Are you worried I'm going to turn someone onto the 'shitter path' and you'll have one less guy to drool over the latest $20,000 watch with or something? You should be glad someone is doing so much collecting and sharing, not resentful that I'm collecting the 'wrong' kind of watches.
>>18690593haha, YOU don't like me. I'm not trolling. You are quite confused and I'm sorry about that. I made that $500 thread and it's almost dead. I can post to any and all threads which interest me and I do.
>>18690594No one is telling you what you can or cannot buy, no matter how much you keep repeating it.What we’re telling you is to go to therapy because you’re clearly unwell.
>>18690594bro, leave this site, this isn't healthy.
>>18690575I like other watches too. If I get more money maybe I'll buy pic related, which I don't think does notifications, but it is solar powered to recharge itself, and it updates its own time daily using radio signals.>If my boss could bug me on my wrist I would fucking hate watches.I am lucky that I have not had a boss who bugged me out of work hours unless it was absolutely necessary. Even if I were to get emails outside of work hours, I would just ignore them if it's not something that needs doing immediately.
>>18690596There's no "we" here. It's you. And you can't elaborate on what's wrong with my mental state. You just don't like that I'm arguing back and winning. That I put my money where my mouth is and have found that shitters are not shitty. I guess I'm disrupting your idiotic belief system.>>18690597You aren't healthy. You're negative and full of shit. You don't want to share this space and you think you speak for others. You probably think it's "based" to post the same stupid watch 40 times a day. You'd rather see that than my original posts and NEW watches. What the fuck is wrong with you? You can keep pretending it's one way, but it's the other way.
>>18690599>You'd rather see that than my original posts and NEW watches.Honestly, yes. You are equally tiresome with your stupid fucking sanctimonious essays. You’re having a manic episode and you’re bingeing. Seek help before the crash. I dislike you because you’re a troll, but I still don’t want to see anyone get depressed and kill themselves.
>>18690598I like all kinds of watches despite what one troll thinks. Can’t go wrong with G-Shock. This one was $40 or $60 I can’t remember. Pretty reasonable though.
>>18690589no one will read that shit, J K Rowling
>>18690601Well, seeing as despite the fact that you are annoyed by me, I am not intentionally trying to annoy anyone, so I'm not a troll. That's a bad faith argument right there and I've lost a little respect for you.I'm here for the people who are new to watches and looking to learn. There were people in these very threads who pushed me in the direction I've gone. Which isn't so fucking terrible. I collect watches that are under $500. What the fuck is wrong with that? Nothing. You choose to focus on some apparent "shitters" I have as if that's all I do.Ignore my walls of text if you like. You need not engage me. I honestly have a hard time understanding why you prefer OCD to OC. I'm not posting the same watch and coffee cup daily. I am tired of having to keep defending myself but you just can't help but start shit. Learn to live with me as I'm not going anywhere. I can't wait for you to shit on my new Swiss watches. Not because of the watches themselves, but because I bought them and you don't like me. lol
I think I’m done with watches.
>>18690606>Learn to live with me as I'm not going anywhere.Sure you are. You’re going to crash out and enter a depressive phase and not post for a few weeks while you just lay on the couch all day. What triggered the last one? Your wife left you?
>>18690607BASED
>>18690607very, very safe but decently based.
>>18690610>very safeYeah, I agree. I generally don’t like to stand out too much. I prefer white gold/platinum to yellow/rose gold. I like the Explorer II over the GMT-Master II because it’s all brushed and not shiny and colorful.I know the Calatrava is one of the “obvious” choices but I’ve always loved the stark simplicity of it, bordering on austerity.
>>18690608Haha, it's YOU posting that about me this whole time? Every time I see that it's you thinking you're addressing me?I don't think I've gone weeks without posting here. Nor do I just post all day. You clearly see me in posts I didn't make. There are no depressive phases. Are you even reading my posts? Watches helped get me OUT of a depression. Mourning my dad. Only a real dick would keep on after knowing that, but no one claimed you were a decent person.
>>18690571It's no surprise, they kinda have to, all those stupid-money people are gone.
