Why are Zara and H&M so popular these days? I don't remember the brands being all that popular back when I was in college.
>these daysyoure from vermont or some shit huh
>>18689558Because people are poorer than ever and fast fashion brands like that cater to poor people that want to look good, but can't afford to
>>18689558Because they're among the few affordable brands that can be found at every mall that are making even a modicum of effort to keep up with recent trends. The pants in vidrel are actually the perfect example. Wide-leg pants are in right now (have been for a while), and yet they're impossible to find in most stores IRL. Most stores still haven't adapted and are still trying to get rid of their infinite stock of slim and skinny fit tapered jogger style pants. That's all they have. In general, they're just trying to pawn off the outdated shit nobody wants to boomers and jeets. Zara and H&M being almost the sole exceptions, and even then it depends on the store. Ofc on trend clothes are easier to find online, but a lot of people would still like to shop in person because you can try it on before buying, if there were better options in person.
