It's sad that brooches are barely a thing now. I'm sure there are a lot of great pieces in family heirloom jewellery collections that never get worn because they don't style with modern trends. They can be such a cute and fun little accessory. Sometimes ornate and beautiful. And they've been around for thousands of years. Descended from fastener pins that were a practical object to hold together a cloak or toga or whatever. You can see ones from like Ancient Rome that have incredible craftsmanship.
