What should I wear to a classical music concerto?I feel like the rules are getting more lax every year.I'm not even sure anymore if I should wear a tie or else I'd stand out from the crowd like a sore thumb.
Sexcore is ALWAYS the answer.
Sweatpants, and your most stained wifebeater. Don't show for two days before hand.
meh, smart casual suffices for your standard subscription concert these days. nobody will bat an eye, if you decide to dress up. it's a good occasion if you do so.I look down on people wearing shorts or track suits though, seen them all. this might be acceptable for your outdoor summer concerts, but not for festival season.
>>18693399Concerto is a specific musical form, you're either going to a concert or going to listen to a concerto.>what should I wearWhatever you're comfortable in as long as it's presentable, you're unlikely to be noticed either way.I've been the best dressed guest at an opening night at La Scala and nobody beat an eyelid, and I've worn baggy sweatpants and barefoot shoes at the Berlin Philharmonic Hall and nobody beat an eyelid, so just be yourself and you'll be fine.
