I want a pair of dress shoes with a comfortable sole but they all seem to look like this. Could I get away with just painting the sole?
>>18694057What’s a comfortable sole to you?
>>18694058i am used to hiking shoes and trainers. dress shoes all seem to be quite rigid
>>18694057>>18694059Stop being a little bitch. Your feet will get used to the rigidity in a few days. If anything, rigid soles are good for you. They strengthen the muscles and joints in your feet. Too much cushioning weakens them, to the point that you can't even walk barefoot without your feet hurting everywhere. Get proper dress shoes without those hideous Frankenstein soles.

>>18694057If you were australian you could get away with some rm williams black comfort craftsman. Since it's the only "decent" quality shoe brand in that country if you go to the higher end white collar section of any city this is all you'll see besides hideous cheap wog shoes. The inside is a synthetic cushiony sneaker material that's for pussy bitchboy feet and for boomers whose knee cartilage is fucked after a lifetime of hard labour. I do not recommend the comfort model in any other case as the traditional leather insole and outsole model lasts longer. If you wear these with a suit nobody will notice; nobody will notice whatever you wear regardless desu unless you wear those cole haan sneaker looking pieces of shit in the OP. If you paint those the paint will instantly crack when you wear them and it will look even more like shit. Keeping them as they are is better than that.
i bought a pair of park avenues for cheap, i intend to wear them with a suit for my job. what else can oxfords/derbies be worn with for daily casual wear?
>>18694057These are the worst kind of shoe to buy. Completely unflattering. If you want comfy sneakers just buy comfy sneakers. And don't be fooled into thinking more dressy leather shoes are uncomfortable because they're not foam pillows, leather can get very soft after use.
