No. I had a root canal and the tooth broke and I had a choice and had it capped with gold since it was the same price as tooth-colored enamel.
It's on the lower side so it's not prominent. Still haven't had any cavities though and I'm going for the record there.

The color of gold doesn't contrast well on light skin tones and just looks like you have yellow teeth. That guy isn't dark enough, so its somewhere in between but not good
