You can never see my teeth when I talk, it always looks like I have none, and whenever I talk to people, my mouth looks weird and doesn’t move like a normal person’s mouth. I look like the fucking kid from stranger things when I talk! What do I do here? I’ve had braces but it didn’t fix any of this. I also have a bit of a lisp and it’s hard for me to pronounce S sounds, even trying to say words with “S” is difficult for me, I look weird and awkward and can’t speak with confidence, I feel like if I could figure out what this problem is, it would immediately make me go up at least 3 points look wise. Does anyone have any experience dealing with someone similar? Or know what the fuck is going on!?

>>18696562Recessed jaw? Reverse of this >>18697823Pic of me as a kid and in 20s, I had braces with some weird spring shit in them to push my whole jaw forwards over 2 years, but it didn't help that much. If your mouth at rest has your bottom teeth closed fully behind your top teeth, instead of meeting each other in the middle, you have an underbite and are permanently clenching your jaw too much. Should make your jaw muscles look good, but.. face will be more short and square, and your teeth might wear down enamel from rubbing against each other. When your facial muscles are relaxed and teeth sit just barely touching each ither, you don't have to open your mouth as much to speak and move your lips etc. Not sure what can be done about it in adulthood other than massaging your jaw hinge and consciously loosening the muscles throughout the day until it's natural.
