Thoughts on Bronson Mfg? Heritage and repros pieces of really cheap but still made on 100% cotton and other good materials

Is the only catch that it's made in China? Because that is not a problem if the materials and designs are good

Their shit is good, and it's cheap enough that you can do shit like embroider on the pieces and not feel bad about it.

I got their wabash shirt. It's good enough considering the price. Not outstanding quality but no complaints neither. Definitely punches above the price. I'd recommend the brand if you want heritage stuff on a budget. You probably want to size up a bit.
>>
Generally liked their stuff the only really problem has been weird sizing (their jeans shrink too much in the inseam for me) gotten some incredible jackets though
>>
Everyone thinks they're good. We don't need a thread. Stuff getting made in china isn't a problem, getting things made in the west is a meme.
>>
I couldn't even buy from them, my bank declined it

For basics (and McCoys recreation) they're amazing but ironically enough I wouldn't do their denim.
I have a couple of their thermals and breton shirt, tshirts and they're IMO >80% of the quality of luxury heritage stuff for less than a quarter of the price. And btw. if you have Chinese friends--Bronson is even cheaper in China (20 for a tee vs 5 in china)

Use paypal not your credit card

>want their “wool-lined” corduroy trucker jacket
>perfect cut
>look at specs
>lining is a polyester mix
Why would they do this? Just do a full wool blanket lining. I’d pay the extra money for it. It’s already pretty fucking cheap as is
>>
>manlet sizes only

what about labour union clothing, also Chinese.
Is there a list of brands like this, I have one on mind but I just can't for the life of me remember it's name.
>>18698157
That is so annoying.
>>
>>18698180
>labor union clothing
wasn't aware of this brand, thanks anon. everything is more expensive than bronson by a bit
>>
>>18698180
>That is so annoying.
It’s pretty much all their jackets with “wool” lining. Their N1 jackets are like 70% wool 30% poly. If you’re already using majority wool for the lining, there’s literally no reason to not just use 100% wool
>>
>>18697852
I had one of their deck jackets but a single drop of water would create some kind of reaction where the material would turn rust colored. I've heard that you can't wash their items because the dye is done poorly
>>
>>18698262
Funny, all the jap made heritage dorks get told they pay more money for nothing and then you hear stories like this and realize it’s all just sour grapes
>>
>>18698264

I don't know who's more retarded, the person saying "you can't wash their items" for a whole brand or the person believing them.

Probably the later.
>>
>>18698268
It’s probably the person believing you can buy ultra cheap chinkshit made versions of heritage items and expect it to be good
>>
>out of 9 knitwear pieces, 8 are a polyester/acrylic blend
>only one of them isn't sold out and ofc it's a plastic one
that's all I need to know about that brand
>>
>>18698271
Seriously. If you want to buy a heritage piece, just spend the money to get something that ACTUALLY represents the true specs and materials instead of being fooled into buying some retarded suboptimal fabric with an unnecessary poly mixture. Bronson is a company that markets itself as true vintage but then you simply just read the specs and realize why it’s so cheap
>>
>>18698273
True. It's not even that cheap, for that money you can just get an actual wool piece.
>>
>>18698274
Yup. The only thing I could perceive as maybe being worth buying is their selvedge denim, but even so you are rolling the dice with those items being made by ultra cheap labor. I’d rather just pay $250 for the jap made stuff with a 100% guarantee that I’m going to have a flawlessly made garment
>>
>>18698268
Why am I retarded, it's literally what happened when I owned it lol. Plenty of similar stories about their clothing doing all sorts of wonky shit when introduced to water. I guess you know better though.
>>
>>18698275
That or try to get a secondhand piece so you get the premium material for a good price. I've made some good deals by just knowing how to look for good material and craftsmanship and knowing how to care for them/restore them. Often people don't really know what they have. Just yesterday I bought a 100% cashmere sweater at the thrift store for 6 bucks.
>>
>>18698277
I learned how to spot good shit by taking an intro to sewing class. I wanted to learn how to mend my own clothing, so after seeing the basics of sewing, you can generally look at how a piece is stitched and see if they went through the trouble to use decent SPI, double/triple row stitching in areas of high stress or wear, etc.. With hands on experience like that, you can easily spot good pieces when thrifting. I also however think that there are no shortcuts when buying new clothes. If you buy cheap, you’re going to get cheap. Generally, I don’t see $200-300 as being “overpriced” for a pair of jeans that are made absolutely flawlessly with labor and materials that aren’t derived unethically. If you’re paying ethical wages for skilled labor, selvedge jeans are going to cost bare minimum $150 even with a minimal markup
>>
>>18698279
Thats true, unfortunately you do get what you pay for but if you're on a tight budget I think that profiting off the fact that rich people love to buy expensive shit and then get more expensive shit and dump the stuff from last season on thrift stores is the way to go. That way you get the best of both worlds.
>>
>>18698283
True
>>
Lmao at the retards samefagging one another to shill the retardedly expensive repros of what's supposed to be cheap utilitarian garments.

You would think that a chink fucked your gf, but you never had one lmao.
>>
>>18698289
The idea of some 500 dollar repro of a jacket the military made millions of for dirt cheap will never stop being hilarious to me
>>
>>18698289
>Calling two people retards (plural) while using the term samefagging
The irony
>>
>>18697852
Cheap Chink shit.
