Why did baseball hats dominate the hat market when they don't actually cover most of your face and neck?It doesn't make any sense to me, there are more functional hats that do a better job of sun protection. These types of hats should have won out over baseball hats. Gemini is telling me baseball hats were created for a specific problem, for atheletes, and proliferated because they were good for marketing and cheap. That makes a lot of sense. But why are other hats so rare today? people are willing to spend money on nice, functional stuff.
