What year of hipster was the most effay from it's lifespan of hipsters being relevant (2000-2009)
>>
Thrift shop by macklemore came out 2012.
I don't think hipsters stopped being a thing in 2009.
>>
>>18699525
emos are proto-hipsters, the real first hitpsters are the scenesters.
>>
>>18699530
those were the laggards
>>
>>18699541
Different crowds, numbnuts.

The recent alt country/hipster movement is probably peak but your op image is so old it’s missing a minimum of 5 genres of hipster since the and my guess is you’re so out of touch with your bullshit ass dated opinion you have no clue they existed and you probably listen to shit music too
Same goes for you >>18699530
you fucks are clueless
>>
Reminder that Midwest pretentious sweater vest emo doesn’t mean shit and that actual hipster started around 2010. Seattle sucks cocks.
>>
>>18699590
OP here, the fact that you think the mullet and mustache wrangler hipsters are new and not a dead 2022 Silverlake meme shows you're the one out of touch and a fucking flyover laggard lmaooooo

>actual hipster started in 2010
yeah in flyover states multiple years behind
>>
>>18699649
You can trace hipsters all the way to the 90s if you really want, but the defining feature of the popular hipster is trying to "elevate" commonplace things. Say what you want about them, but they created entire fucking industries. I mean, look at coffee culture. A cup used to cost $1.50 and was just your basic McD's drip coffee. Now it's a billion dollar industry and you can get basically anything you want. I, for one, don't hate hipsters.
>>
>>18699649
California is not flyover. Everyone was emo and scene in the early 2000s.
>>
>>18699663
early 2000s yes
>>
>>18699590
>The recent alt country/hipster movement is probably peak
It is really bizarre seeing black people and hipsters all wearing camo and shit
>>
>>18699673
Country hipster was a thing in the late part of the 2010s. It’s when people in the Midwest started getting a bunch of tattoos and girls did fawn/deer makeup every Halloween.
>>
>>18699607
What the fuck are you even talking about? Urban Outfitter and American Apparel where in every college town by 2005
>>
>>18699674
>It’s when people in the Midwest started getting a bunch of tattoos
That happened 20 years ago
>>
>>18699676
Nobody was buying The Strokes tees and skinny chinos until like 2011. All that indie shit wasn’t popular in 2005.
>>
>>18699680
You’re making shit up.
>>
>>18699686
>All that indie shit wasn’t popular in 2005.
You genuinely have no idea what you're talking about. I was in college then and every single art chick in my entire state was going to ann arbor to spend thousands of dollars to look like a shoe maker from the 19th century
>>
>>18699690
Did you live in Seattle?
>>
>>18699693
>ann arbor
>DID YOU LIVE IN SEATTLE?
Retard, the west coast has been irrelevant since the 2010s once shit like the OC got replaced by cancel culture
>>
>>18699694
>He doesn’t know what Ann Harbor is! How DARE he!
>>
>>18699695
Yes, there is literally no reason for a man supposedly in his 30s or 40s to not know where Ann Arbor is
>>
>>18699697
You sound like a pretentious faggot. Holy shit. Take a deep breath and count to ten.
>>
the latest flavor of hipster is obviously the trad cath homesteader concerned with avoiding seed oils and reducing screen time
>>
>>18699663
Emo/scene was popular until the late 2000s. Hipsters really took off only in like 2008-09, during the global financial crisis period when looking like bum and having an alternative lifestyle became not only popular but necessary.
>>
>>18699686
People were, somewhere. I was a chubby teenage nerd at the time, So, I wasn't hip enough to find them and hang with them. But, I assume they were out there.
>>
i went to school with a kid who believed HE made the fedora popular in the late 2000s.

fuck you forrest.
>>
>>18699686
holy shit what bumfuck shut-in out of touch flyover world do you live in
>>
>>18699716
that would be based but it's literally untrue
>>
>>18699862
>i went to school with a kid who believed HE made the fedora popular in the late 2000s.
Bro, what if he did?
