What is it about the Grand Seiko that makes all the watch enthusiasts seethe? Isn't it basically the Japanese version of a Rolex at a more reasonable price with greater accessibility and better dials?

Watch collecting faggotry is the most embarrassing and pathetic thing ever.
The average Rolex owner bought it because it's a wealth symbol and that's it. They don't give a shit about movements, or dials, or any of that
These bugmen talking about "x brand is better than y brand" as if anyone gives a shit shit are cringe as fuck
>>
>>18701228
what the fuck did this fat fuck do to his teeth?
>>

He lost a lot of weight. I'd say he's outside of the fat category.

Seiko is 50% loved, 50% hated because it almost destroyed old watch brands in the 1970s.
Then Grand Seiko itself, Spring Drive is controversial because depending on the way you see it, it takes all the bad things from automatic watches and all the bad things from quartz. It removes the serviceability anytime anywhere, it removes the authenticity of a pure automatic movement.
Also, the whole "i'm going to Japan so i'll buy a GS there", is full on instagram cringe.

>seethe
Define "seethe". Because what I see doesn't seem like seething but I only know the dictionary definition of the word.

>Isn't it basically the Japanese version of a Rolex
No. Rolex is very restrained in the changes they make to their model line year over year, Grand Seiko makes wholesale changes and releases tons of models. They're more like Omega in that regard.

>at a more reasonable price
Not anymore. They used to be, but their prices are pretty much in-line with Rolex and, in some cases, are higher for equivalent watches.

>with greater accessibility
Rolex has more ADs than anyone. You're never that far from a Rolex dealer no matter where you are. I'm in a major metropolitan area and there's only two GS ADs near me.

>and better dials?
Arguable. GS produces tons of textured and colored dials while Rolex typically prefers to produce simple, classic dials. It's like asking if a wildly colored and patterned Versace shirt is better than a simple, black Dior shirt.

Why is he making the fucking faces?
>>

His denture don't fit.
They took them from a horse.

To appear very upset and concerned for his viewers

I own an IWC I wear daily and have for years and never gave a shit about watches since, but if I ever got another watch it would be the Snowflake
