The Alpha SV is specifically for climbing. So unless you're going to go climbing in it no. Notice it has no hand pockets, that's because when you're climbing you have a harness that covers that area of your lower torso, so there's no point to put pockets there. But if you're going to be wearing the jacket for walking around or doing anything besides climbing it will instantly piss you off.
