>the only way to win is not to play at all
>the only way to win is at least 10 sprays of Kouros
If the number of sprays you apply isn't a prime number I consider you a troglodyte.
>>18771666masstige is niche though, it is just the niche that became popular because it is generally liked by the masses
>>18771506 #I distinctly remember trying Le Lion by Chanel at launch, and thinking it smelled like Kalamata olives. Many years later, it still somewhat reminds me of Kalamata olives, but I really enjoy its balsamic ambery profile now and got a full bottle.
Which is the best Guerlain L'homme ideal flanker for winter?I was looking for something that is also not too formal and which I could wear during winter daily wear, like my lectures.
>>18771632Gualtieri frags are certainly strange. Majority all have that same DNA, this touch of overripe sweetness/musk in the base. I have cum to realize I like the sterile, hospital, type of scents. Think another 13 and baccarat 540. I especially like br540. Give me some recommendations of similar fragrances. Ones that smell clinical like a dentist office. Vanillas are gay
>>18771799The OG Armani Code reminds me of car showrooms, the leather in it feels so austere and a bit industrial.

>SOTD Amouage Gold ManLuxurious, clean musk, masculine floral. Fellow enjoyers of Kouros would certainly appreciate this

I got a bottle of Chanel No. 5 Cologne. It starts with spices, smoky, toasty, leathery, dusty, woody. As it settles it gets muskier, very musky, civet, something soft and cozy but not quiet, must be the powdery iris, and the other florals. The ending opens up and is very powdery and soft. When I smell some of these vintage versions of classics like Kouros and No. 5 Cologne, I'm stunned by how different and innovative they are. There must be something about aldehydes and musks that make my brain think and wonder how they were created. Goes back to my claim that Kouros is a women's fragrance marketed to men. Powdery, musky, aldehydic, florals? Come on! No. 5 Cologne is a woman's fragrance but like Kouros it's totally suited for a man. When my dad saw the bottle he mentioned he used to wear No. 5. Maybe that is where some of my familiarity with the scent comes from. Especially that musky powdery woody scent I get. I can see myself wearing this for different occasions but it does have a church lady vibe. The performance is explosive at first because it's a cologne but then it has nice projection for maybe an hour before dying down. It can be a bit headache inducing if you sniffing it up close a lot, I recommend letting it come to you and not overspraying. 2 sprays would be enough for yourself, 4 sprays should be plenty for everything. It builds up and blossoms quite nicely. It's a great scent. I have No. 19 in a cologne and wanted to complete the Chanel cologne trifecta but Bois des Iles is unobtanium in cologne but I might hunt down a regular vintage.

what would be a daily driver for a Fall frag?i find that summer frags are easy since they're light and fresh and most of my cold weather frags tend to be a little heavy.im thinking TdH, but looking for some options

>>18772075I was in church this morning and smelled the little beads of incense up close, not sure what they're called, the ones the priest/deacon puts in pic related before censing peopleIs there a fragrance that smells like that? Not the burned incense but the actual raw material before burning, the one used in Orthodox churches. Is Profumum Roma Olibanum my best bet?
>>18772087I think the mosquito was attracted by the sweet amber note. They all go in my collection unless it's too feminine in which case I gift it to my mom if it's vintage or my sister for the modern ones.

>SOTN: Tauer LADDMstill fucking awesome
>>18772145Truly one of the few frags that absolutely deserves its hype. And one of the few artisanal niche scents that is not shit.
>>18772115I've been eyeing Royale, how is it?
H24 reminds me of bananas, but less like real bananas and more like Runtz bananas.
>>18772184The EdP doesn't have that banana scent. It's much greener. The first few minutes in the opening smell like opening a new bag of gummi bears instead of banana candy.
>>18772184Do you find this to be a desirable outcome?
>>18772191Should have tried that one when I was at the Hermes store. Ah well, next time I suppose. >>18772192Yeah I liked it, just not sure if it’s something I would personally wear. I was a bigger fan of Eau Givree and Intense Vetiver. That being said I was just smelling them on paper strips. I’ll wear some eventually to get a better idea of each fragrance.
What's the catch? Why would I wear Aventus or BdC when I can wear this?
>>18772269I love it but go nose blind almost immediately.
>>18772269The longevity isn't there for me
Anything worth trying from Argos? The bottles look kinda cool
>>18772292Triumph of Bacchus if you enjoy that profile, I've got a middle eastern dupe of it that I like (Colosseum)
Picked up 2 fragrences from Boadicea the Victorious recently. My gf really likes Knight of Love and I got Imperial for myself.Anyone have any experience with these guys? Personally I think it's probably the best fragrence I've experienced by a large margin.
>>18772310How much did you pay for them?I only sampled Harmonious and loved it because it smells like the old Dior Homme Parfum but even better somehow. Want to sample others too.
>>18772321~$1000 total. Imperial is ~$300, Knight of Love was more like ~$600. Very well worth it though imo, the longevity on both is outstanding and the projection is great without being an elevator clearer.
>>18772027Kurkdijan is a hack
>>18771731I never seen that Calvin bottle before. What fragrance is that?
>>18771681
>>18771731>>18772347Not that anon but it's just called Calvin Cologne. I'm surprised to see such a rare and vintage fragrance on another anon.

I really really don't want to spend $300 for fucking oud wood.
Also can't wait to get a gf so I can wear Stercus.
Well all my samples from... must be 5 years ago now evaporated.Poorfagging it in 2026 engage.I love sweet stuff.
can i buy fleur du male regularly now or what's the deal exactly?
>>18772516i guess we'll find out soon enough
>>18772150It’s just okay to me. Definitely not a safe blind buy, sort of an acquired taste. Smells like a spiced milk drink, something akin to dolce la leche, horchata, chai, etc. I want to enjoy it, but something about it is a little flat/stale and adjacent to latex (but doesn’t smell literal). I can’t affirm whether or not it smells like TriBeCa. I’d sell it for $40 if you’re interested.
>>18772510Damn that’s fucking expensive. I’m not used to decants being more than $4-5, especially for bottles that are $40-60 gray market.
>>18772510buy one (1) good frag with that money (or maybe two (2) good cheapies)
I wish I could go back in time and wear Fierce when I was a kid. Now I'm a balding skinnyfat 29 year old with no mates, no gf, no education, no career and no prospects I'm forced to wear Burberry London for Men.
Which female-targeted frags would you wear/do wear as men, anons? Mine would be Valaya, citrus with white florals are soothing.>>18772269It's just good. The catch with Montblanc usually is that it's too clinical/lack personality but in the case of Explorer I'd say it's a better alternative to Sauvage(unless it's Elixir)>SOTD Megamare

Do all dupes suck ass?
I tried two new samples from Tauer.>L'Air du Jardin CachéIt's just a modern take on a soapy chypre. Unfortunately it has a quite offensive synthetic note in the middle. It's good in the air and once that note in the middle goes away but it's very dated and there are so many similar fragrances that you can go with one of those. Some edgelord could probably say it's complex and challenging but it's just very harsh.>Rose AbsolueIt's like a fresh take on PoaL with the fruits, resins, woody. It's quite juicy. It's not for me but women would like it very much, it has great performance. It's quite feminine but a man could pull it off at night. It does have a bit of Meyers soap, don't know which. It's very interesting and well done but the end result is very familiar like a modern woman's designer.
>>18772588No, Afnan does them well. Sometimes Lattafa hits, sometimes they miss. Armaf sucks since I tried CDNIM and hated it.
>>18772591Initially I liked CDN Iconic but the more I wear it and smell it the more it just smells synthetic and flat to me, especially after having worn BdC a few times now.
>>18772589Tauer honestly just captured lightning in a bottle for his desert series, LADDM being a genuinely incredible fragrance, but most of his other stuff isn't special.
>>18772579I don't wanna buy the "parfum" or "elixir" versions of stuff I like and find out they just smell like rubbing alcohol.
I have sauvage.I love sauvage.I hate that all the black guys at work (factory) wear sauvage in the summer with no deodorant. So I hate sauvage.
>>18772588nah my yom and layl viking dupe is fire>>18772614>no deodorantisnt that an indian or white trash thing? black people have many smells but bo isnt one of them in my experience
>>1877258890% of them yes, you gotta try to find a needle in a haystackIt is hard because they're ALL highly rated for some reason (shills, poorfags, noselets etc)
>>18772588Yes
Anon, after 30 minutes of dupe smelling like dog shit, it eventually smells just like Outlands!
