The amount of times I’ve seen someone bench 3 plates or above is extremely minuscule, and I’ve gone to multiple gyms at different times. The 3 I can remember were a roided out boomer with leather red skin and face doing incline and stopping 6 inches from the chest for each rep. The other was an absolutely built ogre that could pass as a genetic freak on some good shit. The other guy was a short, skinny Asian (actually short, not blackpill definition of short) who wouldnt seem like he fit the bill for 3 plates, but he did it. Personally I’ve repped 2 plates as a slim-ish teenager, but only after some time and because I only had a bench press at my house. I’ve seen 100s to thousands of people at the gym, this place is absolutely full of shit about the frequency of decent benchers. For every guy you notice that is decently strong, you ignore the other masses of people that are in DYEL purgatory. 2plates is an alright intermediate mark, don’t compare yourself to others as their will always be others bigger than you. Plus a good majority of online “fit” people lie their ass off about their stats.
