We call this a “Montreal Screwjob" here in Québec (kweebeck for you outsiders). The best thing too is that you just wait in the cold at the truck near the depanneur where you buy your Molson at 2am tabnak and heat it up at home.

What food deals/ traditions do you have where you live?

In Greece we have gyro souvlaki, pita bread with tender pork meat roasted in a vertical skewer and cut in small crispy and moist slices (gyro), wrapped inside the pita bread with fresh tomatoe slices, onion and yogurt, cucumber, garlic sauce (tzatziki) and optionally fried fries inside (I usually leave them out and add extra meat). It's cheap and delicious. Pretty healthy and with good macros for what is essentially cheap fast street food. It's goat tier.

Another neat trick is to ask souvlaki with only gyro and tomatoe, they put a triple serving of meat and the few tomatoes just add the necessary moisture. Goat tier taste and macros and incredibly cheap for how good it is.

I got a poutine the other day in rural Alberta and it was poutine with added fried chicken and Franks red hot. It was so damn good

It’s pronounced Kay-bec not kwee-bec. Qu doesn’t make a “w” sound in French the way it does in English.

So chips, cheese, and gravy?

Why do countries try to create fancy names for simple dishes? Bongs keep it simple - chips, cheese, and gravy.

Simple as
