Running is retarded and there's no reason to do it unless you're literally an Olympic athlete or in the military. It's hard on your joints and is way too much cardio for the average person to be healthy. A brisk walk, lifting weights, or swimming is enough cardio to be healthy. You don't have to run around like a retard and push yourself to the limit until you feel like puking to have good cardio

That's because 99% of hobbyjoggers are retards who run every run way too fast (upper Z2, lower Z3 or worse try to PB their 5K every time), it's no wonder the amateur scene is filled with people out injured for months at a time.

Its next to impossible to get injured with slow jogging, it's incredibly therapeutic as well while providing almost all the aerobic benefits of Z2 at the same time. Throw in some threshold runs 2-3 times a week and you have a proper training plan that won't leave you at risk of being sidelined for months.

If you can run you can join the military.
If you can't run you can't join the military.

It is the only form of exercise that doesn't require you to be a top tier athlete that can lead to decent employment (plenty of great apprenticeships/trade options available via military besides being meat for the grinder). Other than being a personal trainer.

Even if you dont plan on joining the military, every man should have a basic standard of running fitness in case their nation gets invaded.

The only reason cardio is seen as so important in the military is because they carry 50+ lbs of heavy equipment and require a lot of cardio to move around efficiently. The same as when people wore suits of armor in battle. The every man would not be wearing this much equipment and should just not be a fat ass to be able to defend his country
