>want to start running>sprint for 10 seconds>out of breath for 5 minutes >shins hurt REALLY badJesus christ this shit is hard
when i started out i did 30sec jogging 30sec walking. i could only do 20mins when i first started. now i'm doing 2min/1min intervals for 60-90mins every other day
>>76569552Best way to prevent shin splints is to put your legs shin down on the ground and basically sit on your heels, to stretch them out
>>76569552Start slow. When I started I spent probably a month or two of sessions where I'd be running way too fast and would have to stop frequently. On top of that I was only slightly better that I was when I started.Slow right down until you're in a range where you can make some okay distance. The prolonged effort is what makes the difference and will help you go further and faster
>>76569552so don't sprint retard? just jog
>>76569552>shins hurtDon't run on pavement. Run on dirt.
>>76571643>Don't run on pavement. Run on dirt.my shins don't hurt when I run on pavement. It's either OP is weak in the shins, or he has some body inflammation which is common for fatties

Don't sprint retard
>>76569552Shit takes a while to get used to it. Like stronger ligaments, bones in shit. It took me like 6 weeks for sprinting to not hurt
>>76569552>Jesus christ this shit is hardat first. this is because you don't know what you're doing.couch 2 5k, and find a pace, usually slower than you think you should be going, to run at. only after you complete that entire program should you even think about starting to run faster. build up the stamina first by raising your heart rate and keeping it there, without exhausting yourself. then push harder. you'll get there.

>>76569562Why don't you just run straight at this point
