How strong, do I need to be to start barbell squats? I just started working out 4 months ago. I'm mainly doing dumbbell squats for my legs.
>>
>>76570200
there is no strength requirement, even if you can only do the bar you should train it early on to get used to the form and feel

I injured myself squatting like last year and every time I try working up to my old working weight I get the same deep pain in my right hip. I never even hit a 2 plate squat before hurting myself and ending my squatting career. feelsbadman

Nah that's way too much, even if it's lower intensity and volume.
Work everything every other day.

My fucking knees hurt from spots. I can't take off my socks without pain.
>>

Is the barbell not loaded, usually 45 pounds? Doesn't that mean my trap muscles need to be able to hold that weight?
>>

Do some facepulls before your squats. Nothing heavy, just to get the upper back a bit of a pump. Also start with a relatively wide-grip on the squats and slightly move more close-grip the more you progress in sets.

I see you have to use a cable contraption for this, some kind of rope handles.
How much do those weigh? How do I prepare for lifting those?
>>
ive been doing front squats 2x / week

That's why you don't grow.

Too low. Will destroy your knees and ligaments. Only 90 degrees range of motion is needed.

>he fell for the 90 degree meme
>>
Yeah i do goblet or kettlebell squats only though. Add more reps too
>>
>>76570105
Already do, in one form or another.
Back squats, front squats, squats to recover from a snatch or clean.

Which position is good? Low bar or high bar squat? For beginners?
>>
>>76571956
I'd go for the high bar but you have to figure it out what suits you best
>>
>>76570327
Maybe you should try piriformis push ups to get that area stronger so it won't get injured
>>
Do I need to do leg machine exercises, if I do barbell squats?
>>
>>76573651
You don't need to do anything.
>>
>>76573711
metaphysically or just in the gym?
>>
>>76573711
What do you mean?
>>
>>76573733
Both.
>>76573770
Free will.
>>
>>76573771
Makes sense. Exercise the muscles of morality.
>>
>>76570327
If you're getting random pains, it means the weight is too heavy. Stop falling for the meme and lower the weight.
