Redpill me on the ground beef thing. Food prices have been fucking out of control and ever since my business started to take off I've had zero time to cook for myself (even though I am a good cook) so just buying some ground beef and chucking it into a pan sounds perfect.
I know it's basically just a shortcut to ketosis, but has anyone actually done it? What are the long term effects? I will take multivitamins to balance any deficiencies and will occasionally work in organ meat (liver, kidney, tripe, etc) and maybe eggs and fish like sardines for Omega 3s, but honestly seems like a silver bullet to multiple problems I have with my current diet right now including financial ones.
I will my shits be? I've done low carb/keto in the past but I've always eaten some green vegetables for fiber and a variety of protein sources. Will this fuck up my skin and give me acne? I'm asking for first hand accounts from /fit/izens on the ground who have tried this.

Ground beef is more expensive now. Have done this diet before but not worth it now in my opinion. GOMAD.

Ground beef only diet? Boring.
This is why I never believe carnivore or keto fags. There is too much good food to not eat. example: ice cream and choccy chip cookies.
Vegans I believe, they have loads of snacks and shit and can branch off to keto snacks.

I can get it for between $4-5 a pound, for 80/20 mix. 2 pounds a day x 7 x $4/lb is $56 for my whole week of food.
>>76572505
When I was doing keto I would literally have dreams about eating candy and fruit and bread so I get your point.
But man cannot remake himself without suffering
>Vegans I believe
You could have just told me you're fat and gay from the start
>>
Also I should clarify I'm not looking to bulk up, I'm actually looking to trim down which is what I've heard people use this diet for. I'm looking for sustainable weight loss while maintaining a high protein intake.
>CICO
Yes I know but the logic is because you are eating such a protein and fat dense food you're sated before you come close to a caloric excess. Two pounds of 80/20 has 2200-2300 calories which is actually a steep deficit for me

organ meats are toxic
toxins bioaccumulate
please dont eat liver, it will make you sick
>>
sounds expensive. it's like $7.69 a lb here
>>
>>76572494
I eat red meat every day but eating only beef sounds terrible
>>

Well that's your problem not mine >>76572521
>>76573105
Humans have been eating offal with no ill effects since we began hunting and eating animals. You are a moron.
>>
>>76573113
Well that's why I wanted to hear any first hand experience
I'm really just over preparing food at this point, I need to lose some weight and bloat and I work such long hours these days I'm not going to spend 2 hours preparing some elaborate keto recipe even if I'm batching cooking for the whole week.
I can do a lot with just fried ground beef as my protein depending on seasoning and cooking style, that fits into keto
>mexican seasoning, add lettuce cheese and some pico de gallo for a taco salad
>fry with mustard and onion powder, mix with lettuce and a touch of thousand island for "animal style" salad
>make meatballs, serve with zucchini noodles
Just a few ideas
I'd eat steak too if it's on sale but I rarely see the good cuts for less than $7-$8 /lb anymore.
>>

I think keto is bad for a number of reasons, I'm eating 2300 calories on a cut as well and down 11 lbs so far but macros are 270g carbs/150g protein/65g fat

liver has the same toxicity as the rest of the animal's body.
the only exception would be if they just ate poison before death.
so maybe you get a kill on a deer because it was already weak from eating the wrong mushrooms
>>
>>76573156
nah
look up phase 2 liver detoxication
the liver is a toxin filter. It filters your blood, and filters your food.
Eating liver causes vitamin A poisoning and copper poisoning. But the effects bioaccumulate, so you might be mostly fine for a few months of eating liver, and then turn all Liver King schizo as the vitamin A poisoning finally wrecks you.

>the only exception would be if they just ate poison before death.
Lol
Your body generates toxic compounds over the normal course of its metabolism.
And every food has trace amounts of various toxins.
It's your livers main job to deal with toxicity.

for 7.69 a lb, id rather eat real beef.

usda prime top or bottom round, eye of round, boneless short ribs ($8), usda choice top sirloin or coulotte (cap), fully trimmed tritip, and the list goes on.

only time i buy ground beef is when i want a burger or one of those korean mixed rice or when i see american wagyu ground beef on sale for like $2.99 / lb.

>ever since my business took off
Sure anon
>>
>>76572498
Then buy Ground Turkey, retard. Hate faggots that make up excuses.
>>
almost pure carnivore

I'm poor as fuck and been on keto since August the 6th. I get a fuck 3 dollar hamburger patty at whatever fast food place exists and then cook bacon and eggs at night. 4 dollars for a pack of bacon, 3 dollars for a dozen eggs.

oh yeah, I make sure to have my potassium and MAGNESIUM supplements so I don't fucking crash with weak energy. probably spent maybe 45 dollars in total on this diet so far.

oh yeah, lost 15 pounds already. suck it.
>>
>>76573514
Shitty macros compared to beef
>>
>>76573800
Why are you broke
>>
>>76573843
Same shit, tard
>>
I've been doing essentially brisket and butter for a couple months, shits will be fine and just adjust your fat if they're too loose/hard. My dandruff went away, skins okay - no noticeable change. Energy skyrocketed at week 4 and I started sprint training for fun
