The only differnce in natties is you can't do this effectively with compounds because the fatigue is just too high and so is the danger. With everything machine or isolation related it's the best potential use of your time in the gym. There's no reason to full-rest except for comfort and to satisfy the autism of getting straight sets. Hell even the rep goals of his stuff were almost exactly on the money for effective reps thresholds.
