Does beer actually affect muscle growth
>>
>>76575509
Yes.
>>
>>76575510
Even just 2 or 3 pints on a Saturday?
>>
>>76575522
Yep.

Yes.

the chud is right
>>
Up to 0.5 g/kg per day has basically no effect, that's about a pint at 5% ABV for a normal sized man
2.0 g/kg reduces protein synthesis by 40%
I don't know if the dose/response relationship is linear or exponential but if it's linear it works out to a roughly 15% reduction for 2 drinks and a 30% reduction for 3 drinks
Up to you to decide how much is worth it, personally I top out at 3 pints on a Saturday, one any other day

chads smash beers all the time and they are still jacked. i don’t drink alcohol because I’m Muslim but I imagine it’s more BS science studies taken out of context like the “smoking weed gives you gyno”.
>>
>>76575767
>chads smash beers all the time and they are still jacked
once youre past 25 or so that stops being the case
>>
>>76575509
Only if you’re a low test weak twink
>>
who cares its a fucking beer that shit aint gonna kill you
>>
>>76575509
>>76575522
No. If you’re young you can out work beer. You might not be shredded with low body fat but you can get to strong bear status while drinking beer. It all depends how much and how often you do it. When I was 25 during covid lockdowns, during that summer I was drinking a 6 pack every night and waking up to workout the next morning and hitting PRs while having a six pack. I was still eating all my meals and taking my supplements I just couldn’t pass up drinking at night because there was nothing else to di

Lmao
>fuck you, science. Make reality how I want it
>>
>>76575767
No, unlike alcohol/tobacco/pharma pushed anti-cannabis propaganda, the science actually shows that alcohol inhibits protein synthesis. How much of a difference it makes can be between negligible and gains killing depending on how far/often you take the drinking
>>
>>76575509
What is the least worst alcohol drink to be addicted to while trying to stay fit?
>>
I know a lotta niggas that drink and smoke and are jacked asf
>>
>>76576319
idk bro after an especially intense gym sesh ill do a shot of vodka or two after my three scoop protein shake
>>
>>76577501
liquors, preferably expensive ones that are filtered and aged - scotch, bourbon, gin, etc. The closer the product is to alcohol without any crappy byproducts (acetone, aldehydes, etc.) the quicker and more efficiently your body processes it

kek

>>76575509
No. Pic rel would drink a liter of beer after every training.

Its estrogenic.
It gives you booba
>>
>>76575509
>use it to sleep 2x/day
>dont be drunk before sleep
>eat more salt and vitamins
>dont drink a lot for several hours during protein synthesis
>makes you hungry

Theres no detriment to drinking a ton as long as you arent an alcoholic.
>>
>>76577672
>eat low calorie when drinking
I also go on a diet when im low on sleep and sick because itll just build useless fat. And im no fatty, im athletic and smart.
>>
>>76575509
Based on experience and research, no downside to building muscle but the calories might make you fat.
>>
>>76575509
not really. all the side effects of mTOR signalling pathway interference are when people in studies get turboshitfaced at like 1.5g-2.0g/kg bodyweight.

like 8-9 standard drinks for a 175lbs male. at that level, mTOR is decreased by 40% and other signalling is ur body is also all fucked up.

so a drink or two is fine.

Mogged Klokov into oblivion, and his name is immortalized in the history books.

Ok, he should lay off the beer. Might even improve his performance further.

8-Prenylnaringenin (8-PN) is a potent phytoestrogen derived from hops, known for its estrogenic activity, which means it can mimic the effects of human estrogen in the body. It is effective in animal models for reducing bone loss and menopausal hot flashes, though its effects on human fertility and health require more research. 8-PN also exhibits potential anticancer properties and can inhibit angiogenesis. While found in beer, its concentration is low, and the active form, 8-PN, is produced in the human gut through the breakdown of isoxanthohumol (IX) by gut bacteria.
>It is reported to be the most estrogenic phytoestrogen known.
Congrats, you found the most potent natty troon drug.
>t. drinks vodka, cranberry, pomegranate & elderberry cuz u think it's fruity & gay but don't know plant bioactivities, kek.

Alcohol
Protein
Sleep
Training
Etc.

All these things affect muscle synthesis. For some reason people treat them completely differently.

Protein? 300 grams a day, anything less you will lose all your gains in 24 hours. But when it comes to alcohol, apparently you can get smashed weekly, even though the lack of sleep and inhibition of muscle synthesis would be around the same as getting just 30 grams of protein a day.

The reality is that there is scale. Consistent lack of recovery and diet is bad, but drinking infrequently or small amounts, getting <6 hours of sleep once in a while, is all negligible.

Don't obsess about any of it unless you have a serious problem.
>>
>>76575509
hops contain precursors to extremely powerful pphytoestrogens that your gut bacteria converts to give you bitch tits
>>
I cannot go to gym on weekends because I need to drink at home, so yes.
