Powercopers really do be spending 8 years lifting heavy and getting life-changing injuries just to look like they don't even lift. This is unironically one of the threads where you can't reply "post body", because me looking like a powercoper aka DYEL is the worst possible outcome.
udder udder perfection
the actual lifts are GOATed.
>>76575537Looks great to me.
>>76575537this is actually peak male physique
sets of fahv
>>76575537i thought ohp was part of the program
>>76575537dude's just fridge mode frame
>>76575537What powershitters call a preworkout
>>76575537the worst part is how many noobs fall for the powerlifting meme. "bro you need to build strength first, before you get into bodybuilding you need to squat and deadlift 3 times per week for two years to build your Le Strength Base"i started working out on Starting Strength but realized how retarded this approach was when I noticed it was just growing my ass
>>76578277I also wasted six months and got really fat because "you can't just go straight into aesthetics you need to squat 160kg first!"
>>76578277>bro do 3x10 of tricep extensions you will get huge trust me
>>76578299the point is if you want to train your triceps and biceps theres no point only doing SBD + overhead press and expecting that your triceps will grow just because compound exercises grow them to some extentsaying beginners should stick to those compound exercises (which squats and deadlifts are surprisingly technical lifts, bench as well to a certain extent) is just wasting time when they could be making gains from day one
>>76578330My first program was stronglifts 5x5, it had 0 accessory work, my physique barely changed untill I got fed up with squatting 3x a week. Useless prgrames doubly so for beginners
>>76578557>my physique barely changedHave you tried adding weight to the bar?
>>76578277Almost all of the top tier bodybuilders and even the prettyboy sarmgoblins and roidmonster influencers did weightlifting/powerlifting as a base before they roided or before they started doing isolation if they did it while roidingMuscle mass follows strength, rarely the opposite.>Muh aesthetics Same shit applies to all physically taxing sports not just weightlifting lol, sports do select for certain physiognomies but the common thing is that the body follows the patterns it's been conditioned into and has to make physiological changes to adapt
>>76578613>Muscle mass follows strength, rarely the opposite.Okay, but if aesthetics is your goal there's no reason to build strength on SBD and overhead press while neglecting smaller muscles groups just because you think that by doing SBD and overhead press they'll magically be trained via compound movements, at best "powerlifters" will throw in half assed "accessory work" at the end of their routine if they feel like it
>>76578620Why waste time focusing and isolating smaller muscles?Training for strength is also different from powerlifting. Stop throwing both into the same pot.
>>76578631>Why waste time focusing and isolating smaller muscles?yeah man why waste time trying to look good
>>76578650lol okay post body raj
>>76578650>training the same amount of muscles with 1 exercise with heavy weights instead of 3 with light weights will make you look bad
>>76575537Does he only train weight heavy to him or does he do more 5+ rep sets?
>>76578671tell me which compound lift has significant side delt activation (you know, the muscle responsible for frame width and therefore arguably the most important muscle for aesthetics). hint, there is none. OHP is mainly focused on front delts, the side delts only stabilize and don't get proper stimulus. which is why most powershitters don't have a V-taper, but a "barrel" like physique (midriff as wide as shoulders). the same goes for the biceps and brachialis. the same goes for the calves. the same goes for the abs. the same goes for the upper chest (which can be mitigated by only doing incline bench press, but powershitters don't do incline so their upper chest is underdeveloped which makes them look like they have gyno). the average powerlifting / "strength focused training" regimen has no exercises for muscles that actually matter for aesthetics (which is why powershitters universally look like shit). and guess what, aesthetics is what we lift for. we lift for girls. we live in a modern world with technology and it doesn't matter if you can squat 500lbs, what matters is Stacy having a full, pumped chest to fall asleep on and Becky having a massive biceps to squeeze on the beach and fantasize about later. that notwithstanding, hypertrophy training will get you in the top percentile of men in strength anyway because virtually no one actually does any physical activity nowadays.
>>76578620If you don't use SBD to build the big muscle groups though, what then? Do multiple other exercises? The lifts didn't arise because of competition dumbass. The lifts developed because they were the safest, most effective way to train large musclegroups on the body at the time. Competition bullshit came later. SBD are still some of the most effective lifts for growing the big muscles, which is why they're still good purely for efficiency.
>>76578683You can't get bigger muscles naturally without getting stronger you stupid faggot, what don't you understand about this? You aren't going to be able to progressively add weight to your fucking bicep curl. If you go and do 3x10 bicep curls with 20lb every workout for a "pump" you're just wasting time.
>>76578710>You can't get bigger muscles naturally without getting strongeryeah but getting stronger has nothing to do with what exercise you are doing. you can get stronger on every lift as long as you progressively overload. it makes no difference whether you do that on a barbell squat or a dumbbell bicep curl. the former will mostly increase your quad strength and size, the latter will mostly increase your bicep strength and size. >You aren't going to be able to progressively add weight to your fucking bicep curl.increasing weight is only one of many ways to progressively overload a lift. you can also increase reps at the same load, you can add sets, you can improve your technique or pick a more "difficult" variation (for example cable curls instead of dumbbell curls due to the more uniform resistance profile), you can overload through controlling the speed of your reps (fast and explosive concentric, slow and controlled eccentric), you can shorten your rest periods, you can do dropsets to go "beyond" failure, ...if "just add more plates to bar bro" is your only indicator of progression you must be very new to fitness. which is nothing to be ashamed of, just don't pose as an expert.
>>76575537>Powercopers really do be spending 8 years lifting heavy and getting life-changing injuries just to look like they don't even lift.Where does this shit come from? How long was the person in your picture training for? JUST OVER SIX MONTHS. He went from 164lb to 242lb. What was his stated aim when he started out? >To get bigger and strongerDid he achieve it? Oh yes. >Life changing injuries The risk of ANY injury doing strongman is 4.5-6.1 injuries per 1000 hours. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27328853/Post some evidence on your "life changing" injuries. Now, the vast majority of people who start out body building give up within a few months. They have shit technique, dont move weight, dont train to absolute failure and have shit form. They give in and still look like dyels, rather than getting >bigger>StrongerIve no doubt you are one of those failed bodybuilders too. Who come out with a whole load of cope >muh genetics>muh stomach cant handle food >my natty status everyone who looks good roidsGo and fuck yourself.
>>76578825Seethe fatty
>>76575537>1pl8 bench general
>>76575537When trannybuilders stop lifting because their rotator cuff injury, they look like dyels in a matter of 3 weeks. When strengthchuds stop lifting, they look like they did manual labour for years and look wide and strong, despite not being defined.
>>76578683Koklov/BTN press, easly my best movement on my third compound day (70% of my OHP 3x5), i then do upright rows supersetted with DB flys and shoulders explode.
>>76578825He gained at least 70lb of fat. That's the problem
>>76579088Cope you never lifted faggot - you have no argument yet call me fatty, Im around 16% bodyfat and can see my top tow abs. You are a pencil necked fuck who couldnt dl 220lb. >>7657916732lb of it was fat, 48lb muscle. >>76578683>aesthetics is what we lift for. we lift for girls. If you couldnt get a girl before lifting you will still be a beta loser they can smell the desperation on after lifting. What else do you do for girls? Simp for them? Look after their half caste children? Spend a bunch of money on take out to fill their fat mouths? You complete joke.
>>76579224>48lb muscle.yeah he gained 48 pounds of muscle in six months natty, right>Look after their half caste childrenhelloing saar
>>76575537Never understood why this dude has been used as the poster child of meme'ing SS. He looks like a football player, like he could tackle a small bear. If you get this physique as a base via SS and then focus on hypertrophy training, wouldn't that be the best of both worlds?
>>76579288the argument is there's no reason to do SS for six months gaining a ton of weight you don't need to gain and prioritizing lifts that don't get you any closer to a physique you want just to get a "strength base"you can progressively overload isolation exercises and compound exercises through the same process - a double progression of adding reps then adding weightif you just want to be strong and you don't care how you look then what he did is perfectly fine
>>76575537>just to look like they don't even lift. You don't either. The difference is when the guy in the pic does decide to do some tricep extensions he'll mog you. You'll always be ottermode at best.
>>76575537if you want to be hairless as a man you have to at least get a bit of a tan
>>76579122>trannybuilders>strengthchudskek based
I wasted years doing a powerlifting inspired program with barley any gains. Then I switched to a simple push/pull/legs program with machines/cables only and made amazing gains in only a couple of month. That made me realise that powerlifters are full of shit. There is no one objective metric to measure strength.Like me, many people of my generation fell for Mark Rippletoe due to having daddy issues.I can only hope that zoomers won't repeat our mistakes and do brosplit/machines from the get-go.
>>76579429>machines/cablesWhat weight did you use on the machines/cablesDo you think you would have been able to use more or less weight had you started with the machines/cables straight awayDo you think you would have got the same, better or worse results had you started with less weight on the machines/cables
>>76575537
>>76578825> JUST OVER SIX MONTHS. He went from 164lb to 242lb.yes rip claimed that his 'recruits' get superior to anabolic steroid gains, never confirmed or witnessed again with any other trainer.dunno, thinking this rip guy might be a bit of a snake oil salesman
>>76575537hairless white people look so strange
>>76579869I got nipples like that. What does that tell you?
>>76575537powerlifting is the route you take if you either know you wont be disciplined enough to cut till aestheticism or you were already a lardass and know your body physically cant ever look aesthetic
>>76579224>32lb of it was fat, 48lb muscle.Yeah and hussein is natty too
>>76579585Just as an example, i started doing shrugs with 20kg and I am now doing 45kg, in a span of a few months.I picked this exercise because it is something that is not covered by the basic powerlifter compound exercises, but develops a very visible muscle. So for people who value aesthetics, not doing shrugs is a waste of time.
>>76580438Deadlifts train your traps, and many other muscle groupsThe over head press also works the trapsYou are still in the noob gain phase so no matter what you do, you will have some progress
>>76578683>tell me which compound lift has significant side delt activationeasyBTN/snatch press, upright rowsenjoy your side laterals>we lift for girlsyou are disgusting
>>76580451>Deadlifts train your traps, and many other muscle groupsThe point is if you can get the same size traps by>shrugging 400 poundsor >deadlifting 800 poundsgetting to be able to shrug 400 pounds is a lot easier and takes a lot less timethis is why we target specific muscles we want to grow rather than praying to the gains fairy that they get "targeted" by compound lifts in which they aren't the primary mover
>>76579088>>76579167Yet again stupids have no actual response.>>76580492But you look like shit and are tiny AND weak? What's up with that??
>>76580812>gets mad because people wont reply to his stupidity>instead of replying to my argument spergs out and seetheslol!
