Doesn't matter the distance, all girls who run look cute. Men only look good if they sprint. Once they run more than 800m, they start to look like weak dyel gay bottoms. At 10K+ they become skeletons.
Why? Are men not made for running? Why do only girls look cute if they do it?
>>
Girls just look cute
They dont need muscle
Men aren't supposed to look like weak dyel gay bottoms, but women do
>>

Too tired to hit the gym.

>>76575757
So what do you do as a guy who wants to run? I would like to cut back on gym to go running 2-3x a week but I don't want to lose all my gains and start to become a weak faggot.
>>
>>76575770
>2-3x a week
You're not going to lose anything over that
>>
>>76575780
Really? Even if I cut back to only gym 2x a week full-body?
>>
>>76575786
Yes. Doing full body with reasonably heavy weights once a week is enough to maintain muscle, provided you eat at maintenance. You can do twice a week just to be safe tho
>>
>>76575770
Holy shit anon. Have you ever run before? It’s not like a couple miles twice a week makes you a twink.

You can’t be a marathon runner and a bodybuilder. You can be quite muscular and run 5-10 miles a week.

>>76575746
runner guys are gay dyel weak bottom faggots runnerfags

Runner girls are flat and webby if they're skinny
>>

>Why do runner girls all look cute while runner guys look like weak dyels?

Because you find girls attractive and not men. Or... do you?

>You can’t be a marathon runner and a bodybuilder.

You can be both… just not a good one.

If you compete at a high level you have to chose your priorities.

But your probably aren’t a good bodybuilder or runner anyways… so you health and fitness would improve if you run and lift.
>>
>>76575746
Ultramarathon women look like death warmed over.
Women have naturally much higher body fat and those curves (not rolls) look good so modest cardio bunnies look really good.
Men without muscle who are low BF just look skeletal like an african famine victim or that fake thing in Europe in the 40s that probably didn't happen.

>on the track and field teams, a diversity of skills could be found: hurdlers, sprinters, hammer throwers, javelin throwers, shot-putters, middle-distance runners, high jumpers, long jumpers, and pole vaulters. I became a distance runner. I did not have to be like anyone else, an important lesson for life.
>Distance runners have one common trait—the good ones are skinny. Weight specialists such as shot-putters or hammer throwers are a completely different sort of animal from distance runners. The two represent extremes of body build, coordination, speed, and endurance. Numerous and diverse aspects of physiology underlie those differences. The weight specialists, in order to be at the far extreme of what is humanly possible, must have a massive body of bulging muscles and thick, strong bones to support them. They require a high percentage of fast-twitch muscle fibers that anaerobically (without oxygen) burn carbohydrate for explosive release of energy. Their competitive event generally takes a second or two; the preparation, years.
>The distance runner must fairly float along the ground, sometimes for hours on end. Ideally, he has light, thin bones and long, thinly muscled limbs, like a bird. The key to the distance runner’s performance is to supply his fat-burning muscles with a sustained supply of oxygen. That capacity involves a large support system that includes a large heart capable of a large stroke volume per beat, rapid beating if need be, and slow if not. He needs large arteries, extensive development of the capillaries, large lung capacity, and large fuel depots in the muscles, the liver, and other areas of the body. His cells must be packed with mitochondria, the microscopic power units that, with their batteries of enzymes, convert the fuel and oxygen to energy, which is then harnessed for muscle contraction. The quick power of the sprinter or thrower requires no mitochondria and hence no oxygen, or the support systems for oxygen delivery.

why don't you just do everything you're doing but also toss in running 2-3x per week and just eat more.

Run in the morning and lift at night.

It's a matter of sport specialization and you having a sexual preference for women and a masculine aesthetic preference formed from idolizing Golden Age and later bodybuilders. Is there any healthy-body-fat-percentage natural female physique that you don't find attractive on a well-proportioned frame and cute face? Are you more inspired by Heracles and Milo of Croton than Hermes and Pheidippides?

>cut back on gym to go running 2-3x a week
What kind of running and why are you cutting back on the gym? Just run. Most actual bodybuilders I know do some running or other steady-state cardio. If you're eating and resting enough it won't sap your gains.

Why do you suggest doing it that way? I lift in the morning and run at night. An easy run after lifting matches up nicely: your muscles being a little tired will dissuade you from pushing the pace too much. You don't need peak performance to generate the required stimulus. If you run first, fatigue will stop you from generating peak force during lifting. That means reduced strength stimulus.
>>
>>76575746
women like skinny guys, it spells SEXUAL ENDURANCE all over their faces. large muscles with an average face just spell "beta"

maybe because you're not a fag, but you are still a retard
>>
>>76578821
>You can be both… just not a good one.
True, but my point was you have to pick one to be good at. You can't be good at both unless you are juicing really hard. Which if you want to, go for it.
>But your probably aren’t a good bodybuilder or runner anyways… so you health and fitness would improve if you run and lift.
Well yeah, I don't want to compete. I like food too much and I can't get below 10% bodyfat. I also don't like running and doing that for 3-4 hours sounds miserably boring. I am objectively strong and did a 23 minute 5k this summer. Which sucks by runner standards but I'm happy with since I don't prioritize running.

I heard that endurance running increases the amount of cortisol in a man, if that's true, that could be it

A natty who runs and lifts can mog the Spartans from the movie 300 dude

Sprinting or fast running is fine. extended jogging is unironically bad and increases visceral fat

Women - just dont be fat
Men - tall, lean, tan, jaw, hair, jacked, steroids, years and years in gym, massive protein, die young

So just jogging around a bit works great for broads.

then start fucking running 2 or 3 times a week you retard. it's going to suck a lot more especially if you squat but it's not hard.

>be me
> cardiofag for years
> start lifting
> cardio goes to shit
> want to lose ten pounds, start running
> wow this sucks
>keep running

stop being a faggot and start today

who the fuck has the time to lift multiple times a week and then run multiple times a week
inb4 it's just le 3 hours a week you lazy fag
no, it isn't, most adults have a few hours a day for themselves to unwind at most, I don't want to spend most of my days being stressed about an upcoming fucking workout
it fucking SUCKS and it's hard to blame people for blowing that off
I think it'd be a much better idea to lift a little less but add some intense cardio at the end and maybe walk home if you can afford it
>>
>>76584066
Not everyone is on the same schedule.
>>
>>76584066
>who the fuck has the time to lift multiple times a week and then run multiple times a week
I've sustained this comfortably on a 60 hour work week. It's doable if you want to do it.
>I don't want to spend most of my days being stressed about an upcoming fucking workout
You need to get your head straight, bro. That's 100% a you problem.
>le 3 hours a week
That's a lot more running than I'd expect of someone only running 2-3x/week. One of the advantages of running is you can just do it without having to travel to and get set up at a specialized facility. I would expect it to take less than an hour out of his week.
>>
>>76584149
good for you for having a superhuman discipline bordering on masochism but having a strenuous training every day isn't really sustainable for a normal person
I suspect most people who claim doing a shitload of sport probably half ass most of it, lifting alone is enough to sap enough energy and recovery capability to make another physical pursuit very secondary (if you actually lift with intensity)
I used to do 3 FBWs a week (legs were hit each time) and run 2-3 times a week and it was absolutely miserable verging on being pointless from all the stress it was generating before each session

>having a strenuous training every day isn't really sustainable for a normal person
Get good sleep, hit your macros, and program active rest days instead of doing full body workouts and you'll be fine. During the aforementioned 60 hour work weeks I was on a push-pull-squat rotation six days a week with jogging/running seven days a week, so only hitting each muscle group twice in a week. For cardio I was running 10-20 minutes on lifting days depending on how I was feeling and 20-45 minutes on Sunday. I'd sometimes do some supplemental core, grip, etc. work on Sundays if it felt reasonable.
>I used to do 3 FBWs a week (legs were hit each time) and run 2-3 times a week and it was absolutely miserable
Doing a full body workout three times a week is a reasonable approach for a beginner but is generally not enough rest for an intermediate lifter. Try programming a split. This will allow you to train each muscle group more intensely while allowing for more rest in between training sessions for each muscle group. I personally like push-pull-squat.
>verging on being pointless from all the stress it was generating before each session
What's going on there? I always look forward to sessions no matter how busy I am. They're meditative.
