So why don't you actually train with intensity anon? You don't even look like you're trying. Don't you actually want to develop those muscles? It's not supposed to be easy... You shouldn't be still lifting the same weight for years anon.
>>76577932Idk man I’m at 100lbs for 3x5 DB bench and I’m pretty fucking depressed because I’m never going to get stronger unless I roid, like you.No disrespect btw I don’t care that you roid but it’s the simple truth. Is this it? Is this all we’re striving for? Do you reach a ceiling and then look around and wonderNow what?Sorry mate thanks for coming out with me tonight I’ve been feeling a bit down so it’s nice to chat with someone. Gonna run to grab some chicken tacos, you want anything?
>>76577945That's a great amount for DB bench! You might wanna try other exercises like weighted dips and the barbell to see if there's some other ways to hit the muscle to let you push through.Get me some carbonated water champ.
Don't touch me filthy fake natty!
>>76577945i eated a pizza already

>>76578364Not that poster, but if there's one take away, it's that 90% of people in the gym aren't training hard enough. Like, grinding out reps to and beyond failure, where the speed of the bar is cripplingly slow but you're still making an effort to push yourself. If you're not making some kind of grimace or getting red in the face, are you actually trying? If it feels relaxing or you can read your phone during some leg presses or extensions, you're not giving remotely enough.Note, this is for intermediate to advanced lifters who know where they can sacrifice a little bit of technique. For beginners, consistency and basic progressive overload are all you need, but if you want to break through a plateau, it's going to be an effort.
>>76578405I totally agree. One of the best ways to increase this is simply recording your sets sometimes. If you look at the footage and don't SEE any effort or it looks like you lift like a bitch, you're going to motivate yourself to lift harder next time. Specifically, lets say you record yourself benching, pull up that video on your next bench day to remind yourself how much harder you COULD push.Unironically this will let you find your true intensity limit quite quickly.
