Had it since I was a teenager.Both of my sides looked like the nip on the right with like a tail towards the armpit.Recovery is not that bad. First week is the most important one, by week 3-4 you can start easing in your regular life in terms of going to the gym. Didn't hurt, nothing too crazy. Great time to let your tendons recover and start a cut and focus on some light cardio instead of lifting.For me it was definitely worth it. That little bit of money for surgery was worth my sanity.
