Deadlifted heavy without a belt. Two reps felt fine. Third rep lower back popped midway with some pain. Been lightheaded 15 mins since. Pullups feel mostly fine with the dead hang emanating a little pressure. Lat pulldowns cause pain. About a 3/10 persistent pain, likely with adrenaline. How fucked am I?
>>76582660I have to work all day today but when I get home I'll take some ibuprofen. I checked some tests for a herniated disc and they're negative. If I'm still fucked by this weekend I'll see doctor
The competition deadlift should be done from STANDING POSITION like an RDL. Bench AND squat benefit from an artificial rack and the stretch-shortening response, why should the deadlift be any different? Could result in: >Bigger numbers >Less deadlift neglect>Less sumo frauding>Better looking deadlifts
>>76582178Yeah you are starting in a pretty good spot. Depends on how much time you have to train and how serious you are about it.

>>76582732No. There's one lift in S/B/D that you cannot fraud, a conventional DL on a stiff bar. What you're suggesting will in practice usher in a new era of spastic bounced shittery, we already have that for bench and to an extent squat>muh powerlifting rulesSure, you have to pause your bench in competition. If you have ever been to a commercial gym you know this isn't the case for 99.999% of bench reps being performed and claimed as legit, with a DL you're free to lift like an asshole because it doesn't matter to the integrity of the fear performed

>>76583154Taking too big of weight jumps? Not eating enough? Also that's not a power lift
>>76583154Your technique is probably shit with the bar drifting far in front of you on the initial drive. Watch some youtube vids on how to drive the bar in a more or less straight line from your clavicles which necessitates moving your head and leaning back slightly then getting under the bar once it clears your forehead. Narrower grip, start from front rack, etc. Disregard all press 2.0 double layback rippeshit. Observing a competently executed OHP in the gym is rare, most people do some combination of push press first rep + half repping the rest or they are repping dyel weights with the bar way too far in front of them to ever be able to progress
Warming up before lifting is crucial to prevent injuries and enhance performance. Here are some effective routines and tips from Redditors:General Warm-UpCardio: Many Redditors recommend 5-10 minutes of light cardio to get the blood flowing. This can include treadmill, rowing, or biking. "5 minutes on a rowing machine, and a couple of sets heading towards working weights on the compound lifts."Dynamic Stretching: Focus on dynamic stretches to improve flexibility and mobility. "Dynamic Stretching"Warm-Up Sets: Doing lighter sets of the exercise you're about to perform is a common practice. "Do 2 sets (of whatever exercise you're warming up for) with an empty bar, then adding 10kg/20kg and do 2 more sets."

bw: 199.2height: almost 5'8music: nonescent: axe phoenixFinished fasting yesterday, not too bad. Did cardio 2 out of 3 days. Going to experiment with jump roping and see if it does anything for fat loss. I have read three brosceiencey comments now and also its good for my foot and ankle strength. It was two comments about it jiggling fat loose, and a third about how shivering/bouncing around causes your mitochondria to produce more succinate. At this point I got to try it out. This week is supposed to be low impact zone 2 cardio only. Planning on doing 15 minutes of jump rope intervals 10/20 rest working and about another 40 minutes of zone 2 on the elliptical. My cardio is actually getting not bad now. Mostly from the bike and sprinting. Highly recommend alactic and anaerobic conditioning.

>>76588118You can compete at any strength level. But I recommend early advanced levels which would be around 350 dots (550kgish at 93kg class). Because at that point gains are slower and it makes more sense to follow a peaking scheme.

The copers citing the square cube law have already been debunked by direct application of S = kM^(2/3) for some scaling constant k. Upon normalizing these to typical powercoping formulas, we observe the following. Hapthor was what 200 kg deadlifting 510 kg? Direct application of the square cube law yields this as equivalent to a 100 kg lifter pulling 382 kg (certainly impressive, but John Haack has already bested this feat with an allometrically scaled deadlift of 615 kg to Hapthor's pull. For the interested reader, a 70kg lifter would need to pull 187 kg to match Hapthor's deadlift.

>>76598417'cept we can actually just look at reality instead of fruits of your autism. And in reality 500kg for ANY BW is IMPRESSIVE.Because it simply doesn't scale proportionally or even as ^2/3

>yes you lifted in excess of half a ton but here's why that's akshually not impressive if we assume the following mathematical relationship...I don't even see the point of coping like this. He's in strongman.Untested. Arbitrary rules for what gear is allowed. Relaxed judging standards. These are easier and more straight forward methods of cope.(still more legit than a sumo pull in a PL comp)
>>76597469are they hot?
if relativestrength cucks don't like it why don't they just bulk to 200kg and lift more than thor?
I find it rather amusing how the powerfats have failed to read my post. A more careful reading of my words will show the word "impressive" exists. Hapthor's lift was certainly impressive. I showed just how impressive it is, and gave a few benchmarks for lifts that are even more impressive. John Haack deadlifting nearly 1000 lbs at under 200 lbs bodyweight is far more impressive than hapthor deadlifting 1100 lbs at over 400 lbs. And those "little men" you fatasses like to belittle who are deadlifting 400+ lbs at body weights under 150 lbs are performing lifts just as impressive as Hapthor's. Don't like it? Tough shit. The numbers don't lie, and they spell reality for you.
Picking up an inanimate object isn't impressive
is this the dumbest shit ever entered into an excel file by anyone that meets the minimum requirement of being able to read, write and type on a keyboard?

Just pulled my lat from doing high bar squats, this is the second time in a few months. Anyone have this problem and solved it?
>>76599550kek busted
>>76599622>Just pulled my lat from doing high bar squatswtf how
>>76599622you can just say squats
>>76599830Low bar squats are not real squats. Just needed to clarify that
Feeling small might do some dips (going off program)
just browsed this thread and i cant make sense of anything posted in this thread
>>76600024if you apologize then i'll help you
>>76600024You don't need to clarify the obvious
Are cluster sets actually effective or just a meme?
Try it and find out.
>>76597865I had a small cuff and labral tear that was killing me for years (I stopped lifting entirely) until I rehabbed it with swiss bar bench and slow progression. Now I'm doing heavy overheads and log press no problem. I used to not even be able to reach to use my blinker in my car
>>76598238Dyel Indian manlets are coping saying thors deadlift isn't as impressive as victim weights pulling 1.5 their bodyweight
I've benched over 4plates close grip and deadlifted over 8plates conventional. Chasing strength beyond a certain point ends with looking like a fat aging ogre. This is plenty for me. Now I'm hopping on reta and hopefully will get shredded soon.

>>765826602/10 persistent pain. Rotations aggravate up to 5/10. I can still touch my toes, leaning back stretching is the hardest part. I can still pick up 25 lb dumbbell pain free both good morning and squat. Running and stairs don't hurt. Going to try returning to the gym today. Not excited tho
>>76598210didn’t read
>>76600958you just pulled your back a bit. Don't put more stress on it for a few days and you should be aight
>>76583154Unilateral kettlebell press for balance, strong bracing and a deload day with behind the back presses instead of OHP plus dumbell presses.Do you rest your OHP bar at your clavicle? it's important to do full movement, traps and lats help you push the bar without needing hip drive.
>>76579044It's not the weight, it's how easy and quick the rep is done and that's impressive. Good job!
a) pressing the sled for ~40 reps x 4-8 was a dumb idea, i think i ended up breaking down some muscle fibers because bench is now minus 10kgb) banded bench is fun c) squat rms still look same after year of never squatting and trying to fix squat, i guess i am just not built to squat with vertical shins
>>76596819on the training bars from the intro. not sure when id see one desu.
>>76600819you're already shredded retard
>>76601558It's good light I'm probably over 15% here
What's the secret to developing a good looking weightlifting style high bar squat? Just spam ab work and extensions more than usual or something? I've realised that the high bar I've been doing is quite folded over and shitty. It works and I get stronger but I'm not really in much extension. I'll probably have to be more conscious of this.
>>76601569The bar placement is determined by your body proportions. Just use the position that is most natural to you. For me it's a mid bar position. Don't force it.
Wow I wasn’t even half done my morning coffee until I was interrupted by a Norman khan screaming to come outSo I sit down on the toilet and a whole mountain continues to slide out, or maybe a mountain having a rockslide?
