Hello. 5"9, 190lb, 26% body fat, 34 yo, Male.I'm currently eating at a calorie defecit (1800-2000) calories on my lifting days and 2500 on non lifting days.I lift 5x a week and walk for a hour after.My TDEE says I burn ~2700 calories daily. My goal is to get down to 170lbs then recomp and build muscle.I've progressed on all of my lifts but have stalled on bench press.It was recommended to me to bump up my calories to near maintenance for a month to reset and to help build muscle and break through the plateau.My questions:How much would adding ~500 calories a day actually affect my lifts?Does anyone have any experience bumping up your calories for a month after being in a defecit for 8 months?
