Can you really make it doing just bodyweight exercises? I thought it was lifting that wrecked your body long-term...
>>
>>76579954
No.
>>
>>76579954
most severe injury i had - torn bicep - was from doing bw exercise. advanced "bw" exercises are pretty dangerous and weightjaks would probably tear themselves up doing them.

This guy got a vasectomy and then his GF left him like a month afterwards
>>

his psoriasis has nothing to do with training style.

You can pull and tear muscles doing any kind of resistance training.

Doing only machines can leave you with a very weak core, so you may throw your back out doing everyday stuff.

Free weights put a lot of extra strain on your spine, and can break your feet when they fall.

Bands can snap and blind you.

Medium- to high-rep calisthenics (not talking about the circus stuff some people do) is the safest kind of resistance training you can do.

his wife or previous one?
>>
>>76579954
If your goal is to be strong, calisthenics are a waste of time. "But what about weighted pull ups and dips???" once you start adding weight its not longer calisthenics.
If your goal is to simply have some minimal physical conditioninig then its fine.
I wasted 2-3 years just doing sets of 15-25 reps on dips and pull ups thinking i was strong, all the while not realizing how weak i was.
I could barely bench 80kg when i went to the gym at 73kg bw lol
>>
>>76579954
If you want an otter mode or twink physique or whatever you want to call it, you can do that just fine with calisthenics and staying lean. However, weightlifting is just better. You will get bigger and stronger in less time by lifting weights, regardless of your goal. So, even if your goal is just to look “toned” or whatever, you will get there faster by lifting weights.

>80kg
>Spent 2-3 years not progressively overloading
>Confused why he didn't get stronger

You can't just spam the same exercises. I'm not even a calisthenics fag, but even I know that you're supposed to progress to harder movements.

>I thought it was lifting that wrecked your body long-term...
You might as well start believing jogging or long distance running is completely free of injuries.
If people actually cared about injury rates, everyone would stop doing cardio and only do weight lifting. I don't know which retard started this whole risk to reward ratio bullshit but they even got it wrong when it comes to lifting. Squats are the number 1 lift everyone fucks up in, I rarely ever hear anyone fuckin up a deadlift.
>>
you can do calisthenics with the exact same progressive overload as anything by progressing to unilateral movements. not many people can rep out single leg/arm movements and the progression is very simple.

That's strong you dolt
>>
if i'm not mistaken calisthenics is meant to coupled with a lot of cardio (think marathon levels). it's lean people who use it
>>
>>76579954
make what? you can do plenty if you are interested in general fitness and ability, concentrating primarily on legs. for getting jacked, probably no
>>
>>76579954
this guy had progressively worse neck pain for years. My conclusion's that you can't make it alone. You need a girl to notice your condition and make you do something about it.
>>
>>76579954
yes minus legs unless you want to do a lot of bw squats and lunges

I legitimately believe vasectomies are a shit test. Don't want kids? Get your tubes tied, bitch.

>Can you really make it doing just bodyweight exercises?
Make it for what?
>I thought it was lifting that wrecked your body long-term...
Extremes are always bad, lifting as heavy as possible all the time and not give your body time to recover it's bad, stretching all the time without developing strength is also bad.
Having a mix of weight training, calisthenics and stretching and having times where there's less volume and intensity and others where theres more of it is ideal.
>>
>>76579954
Yes.

Hoeflation is so fucking real...

He isn't even bad looking. How did he end up with her
>>
>>76580791
On average I think married men live longer and one reason I always heard for this, aside from happiness, is they're more likely to go to the doctor and notice shit on time cuz their wife keeps nagging them to get something checked out
>>
>>76581578
There are other surgical options for male birth control. For example you can get implanted with switch that opens and closes the tube without at will.

>>
>>76579954
You can't make it by modern social media or 4chan standards but it can get you to a point where people will consider you fit irl if you don't become too fat or too skinny while doing it. Having just a basic amount of muscle and then being moderately lean so people can see that when you take your shirt off is enough to impress people irl, which is making it as far as I give a shit. I'm also talking about low skill stuff like pull ups, dips, push ups, rows, etc. I never learned the high skill stuff before I bought some weights, just can't be bothered. And no, I don't have good genetics, I literally started as a skinnyfat jeet.

his incredibly annoying quirkus chungus personality is a byproduct of his almost cripplingly low self-esteem, so the only '''''woman''''' he ever believed he could get ended up becoming a self fulfilling prophecy

He just explained that he figured that out numb nuts

Hes vaxxed

>>76584771
He clearly didn't figure it out, numb nuts. He thinks that he had to add weight.

I don't care what these others say man, I'm tall and fit and white and what you said you said well. Go with God brother.
>>
>>76579954
you know the reason he's obsessed with being flexible right? RIGHT?
he's a power bottom
>>
>>76581533
I mean he's obviously a neurotic, weaselly little mess but damn.
>>
>>76579954
>Can you really make it doing just bodyweight exercises?
depends on making it in what
you mean being healthy and some basic fitness prepartion with just bodyweight then yeah, but if you want to get strong and learn the sick moves and actually progress you will have to add weight to your basic compounds (just like you would do in regular lifting, anything else is a meme)
>inb4 weighted calisthencis is not calisthenics
who cares
>>
>>76585874
People who say weighted calisthenics isn't calisthenics are either retarded or simply don't train calisthenics.
And funnily enough it's only ever said here.
>>
>>76585919
I mean if you do weighted calisthenics because you want to learn some skills like muscle-ups and front levers then yeah it's pretty much calisthenics
but if a gymrat roidcel does weighted pullups just for back gainz then he's not really using it for calisthenics, it's just another compound
the whole it's calisthenics/it's not calisthenics argument is pretty much meaningless, weighted pullups and dips being one or the other doesn't prevent them from being some of the best press and pull compounds you could do
for instance in streetlifting competitions where people compete in doing heavy pull-ups and dips they refer to them as calisthenics exercises, surely a decade+ long well recognized competition knows better than some retards online
>>
>>76585957
I don't disagree. But, I don't get your sentiment of if a different type of person is doing the same calisthenics movement for a different purpose, it's not calisthenics.
Because it is.
Personally I do weighted stuff for strength gains towards my skill work. And to mog gymcells when I do train indoors.
>>
>>76585968
I meant from the perspective of someone who thinks it's not calisthenics
for me, and for most normal people, it's calisthenics
>And to mog gymcells when I do train indoors.
extremely based
>>
>>76585974
Ah ok gotcha, king.

>>
>>76582463
>>76584727
There's that, but he's also a scrawny manlet who's primary skill is being flexible, as a "man", that is humiliating. His obese goblina wife sees him as a woman and openly wonders if she should peg him.
>>
>>76581533
Couples with mismatched fitness levels confuse me. I'm nowhere near fit enough to make a career out of it, but it's still an important enough part of my life that not being able to share it with my partner would be a non-zero blow to our quality time together. So for a total fitness freak like this who makes it their life's work, like... what do they even talk about? How to they even structure their days/meals in a way that suits both of them?
Same thing with couples where like one of them is vegan or something, on a purely logistical level how the hell does that work?

If I look inward though, I think this is a bit of a me problem. As easy as I find it to stay fit when I'm on my own and answer to no one, and as 10/10 it feels to stay fit with someone who's on fully board, I feel like it'd be way harder if I had a partner who didn't value it, like I'd fall into a bit of "what's the point, this is stupid" mentality. So in that respect I gotta admire someone staying independently fit purely for the love of the game.
>>
>>76586195
I wouldn't say flexiboy is fit at all, or fit obsessed. And I would even argue to say he's looks matched to that goblin.
He looks just as shitty as her.
>>
>>76579954
woah the guy whose whole channel is about pointless flexible movements he can do while looking incredibly sickly, is in fact, incredibly sickly?
>>
>>76586195
He's desperate for pussy and she took advantage. I'd bet good money he'd happily trade that hambeast in for a hotter woman who's also into fitness.
