Why do people say this is a quad exercise?

I feel it in my glutes by far the most, I always get glute DOMs from the leg press, not quad DOMs

For me isolation of quads is done with a quad extension machine

It depends on leg and seat position
Leg extensions machines are useless if you have strong legs, i can max them out(130-140kg) for 12 reps and barely feel any resistance

the one at my gym can take like 1200 lbs lol, I fell in love with it when I was nursing a little back issue and wasn't squatting
you can hit quads and glutes just not at the same time, so yeah it takes longer. people who say its ineffective are being silly though

nope sorry dude the picture says the quads are red so yeah. also i did these today and had trouble walking downstairs afterwards and I'm pretty sure you need your quads most for walking

I added 10kg plates to this machine today and managed to do 3 sets of 10 reps. So happy for myself.
