It's a way to squish your spine and blow out your butthole. Machines give you the same results. Belt squat is best, zero spine damage and minimal hemorrhoid risk.

for some reason i never could do normal squats. something to do with the balance of it or a hip/ankle mobility thing or like a claustraphobia feeling like the bar is gonna crush me. I would refuse to heavy squat even as a football player in high school. But I think I could squat a mountain if you put me on that thing.

I accidentally found out how great these were when I was psycho overloading weighted chins and standing up from a kneeling positon basically 180lb split squat my legs felt super strong after and I was like wtf and remembered some sperg going on about belt squats. Anyway heavyweight squats all cuck my back in some way the belt squats were virtually pain free. I dont remember any lasting ailments from them

Got up to 335 before my bro pointed out my right leg is doing all the work. Lucky i haven't blown out my left knee the way it caves in. Doc says my atfl is practically non-existent. I might cry bros. I want 4pl8 so bad.
