Count calories, all of them.
Eat about 500-1000 less calories than your TDEE.
Buy scales, be accurate.
Learn to cook. Try to stick to lean protein and green vegetables.
Eat a lot of protein. 0.72g per pound of goal lean body mass.
Doing cardio, even just walking, will improve your health. There is no such thing as a healthy fat heart, but you can offset the risks.
Lifting weights will keep and gain muscle mass and lose fat much quicker. Not lifting results in the body eating away muscle AND fat.
Drink more water.

I'm still trying to lose like ~20 more lbs. I dunno I'm still fat when I look in the mirror, but I've just barely been maintaining for a several weeks now. Losing got a lot harder once I hit [healthy] I walk/run 5mi everyday, and I lift 4 times a week, but the hunger and the cravings are kicking my ass lately. I feel great otherwise though. My mood has improved considerably since I keep fucking up and eating over my deficit. Its probably good that I'm eating more, I'm getting like twice as much fat than I was previously, but I still feel shame when I end up breaking and my cravings overcome my willpower and I just groggily stumble into the kitchen and devour 5 chicken thighs in like 10 minutes before going back to sleep. Skinnyfat is actually surprisingly easy to fix, just fucking lift. The caloric deficit isn't that important because your core problem isn't the fat, despite what you think, its the lack of lean mass that's primarily making you look like shit. You're likely only a couple lbs of fat overweight, but you're several lbs of LBM away from looking good. Eat a maintenance diet or slight caloric deficit (TDEE -250~500), eat a lot of protein (.72g~1g per lb), and most of all lift. That's the single most important factor in fixing skinnyfat. Resistance training is what solves skinnyfat.

If you don't lift and just cut more you end up looking even worse.

For headaches, what you want is potassium, not sodium. Potassium will relax the blood vessels and allow better blood flow to alleviate your headaches. Go to the store and buy some of this stuff or something similar. Just look on the back of the salt substitute and make sure the ingredient that's listed is potassium chloride. Put a fourth of a teaspoon in a shot of water and down it 2x a day. It'll balance out your salt intake and help your headaches and you'll probably pee out all your water retention in the next two days.

I wake up at 6:00 AM every morning and go to bed strictly at 10:00 PM.

After recently watching the movie Fat Head, I started a new diet on the 18th of last month.
I’ve gone from 234 lbs. down to 212 lbs. so far.

My routine includes walking -5 miles or at least 2.5 miles- before work, as well as 30 to 60 minutes of arm exercises both before and/or after work.
While at work, I also walk at least 2.5 miles, not including all the physical labor like moving boxes and squatting. (Wish I had a Fitbit)

My morning shake consists of:

1 Banana
9 Baby Carrots
1 cup of Peas or leafy greens (Kale, Spinach, Collards, etc.)
1 scoop of Optimum Nutrition Whey Protein Powder
16 ounces of Whole milk

All blended together

After that, I intermittent fast from 10:00 AM until around 7:00 PM.

If I’m at home at around 7-8 I eat 3 eggs and a piece of toast with a small pad of butter (I cook the eggs with a lid on, so the yolks get semi-gummy — I love spreading them on the toast and eating it as an open-face sandwich).
If I work late, I just take a lunch break around 7-8 and have two plain Burger King hamburgers — no mustard, no ketchup — which are only about 220 calories each.

My total calorie intake most days is under 1,000 (usually around 700 calories), but I still feel full and not hungry.
The only drinks I have are water (64 oz a day) and coffee with a teaspoon of cream and some ice cubes. (I limit myself to one cup a day)

Well you'd make it in batches surely, or a big one you would eat over longer period or share with friends and family.
I'm not overly familiar with American food but for a 400 calories dessert I'm imagining something a little bit smaller than the meat pies we have here in NZ rather than what is shown in cartoons.

At the end of month two I am now down 35 pounds, finally under 300lbs at 5'11. First month's weight loss speed predictably slowed down and I started getting discouraged, but ten more pounds is ten more pounds. Seeing that 2 at the front of my weight for the first time in years was so fucking motivating. It's starting to feel like eating well is becoming more of a habit and less of a conscious effort.
