How to make them actually taste good?
>>
>>76581659
Eat them raw, unironically
>>
Buy fresh, steam lightly and eat with rice/pasta and a protein of your choice.

There's nothing more disgusting than frozen broccoli.
>>
>>76581659
Just steam them on the stove top and know what you are doing. It ain't that hard nigga

Blanche them with some sesame oil
>>

>>
>>76581659
Put some fucking spices on it
>>
roasted with smoked paprika and garlic
>>
stick it in your butthole
>>
>>76581659
>Make a glaze with honey, smoked paprika, salt, and olive oil, slather them in it and roast (good with roasted chicken)
>Blanche in boiling water, dunk in ice water to cool down, then sautee in olive oil, salt, and crushed garlic (good with something lighter like salads or a poke bowl)
>Steam and serve covered with a grated hard cheese and dijon mayo (good with steak)
>Incorporate into a pasta bake or mac n cheese
>>
boil or ideally steam them until soft but don't overcook
add butter, and salt or onions sauce
profit
also
>>76581665

I airfry mine, love the crispy bits you get cooking it that way. I've been eating them in marinara recently, but it's good with just salt and pepper too.

Make sure you eat the stalks too, they're just as delicious as the florets and so many people just discard them for no reason.

Fettucini Alfredo w/chicken
>>
>>76582132
I peel the outer woody skin from the stalks and eat them raw
tastes like kohlrabi
>>
replace with broccolini
>>
>>76582185
I love the outer skin too, I cut them on a bias into long strips, air fry them, and they turn into these crispy crunchy chips. I crave them.
>>
>>76581659
roast them with oil, salt, pepper, and paprika
unfortunately roasting them makes them nutritionally worthless so just steam them and accept them as filler

Just eat them raw or lightly steamed as the science instructs, you love the taste
>>
>>76581659
you don't need them
>>
>>76581659
>light steam
>light salt
wala
>>
>>76581659
I fill a medium pot with these florets and simmering water, put lid on, and check back every so often to make sure they are not too firm / havent turned to mush by doing a taste test. Drain water at the end.
It's exactly the same for rice btw, just add salt and make sure to stir as you put the rice/water in so it doesn't stick straight to the bottom of the pot.
It's as shrimple as that.
>>
Salt and Pepper like every single other natural occurring food ever
>>
>>76581659
Cut to florets
Steam for like 3 mins
Salt & pepper
>>
>>76581659
I put like an inch of water and a little salt sometimes in a pan then put in the broccoli when the water is boiling lid on for like 2 min idk just do the poke test. Tastes great.
>>
>>76581662
Broccoli salad is criminally underrated, I didn't even know you could eat them raw until a few years ago
>>
>>76582185
>tastes like kohlrabi
That's a bad thing btw
>>
>>76581659
>Must feel good must feel good
Just eat it nigger
>>
>>76584140
Its underrated because its not good
Yes you can eat it raw, you can still make a brocc salad by steaming them for 2 minutes and cool it off and its gonna taste and feel so much better
>>
>>76584157
I'm going to try that, thx. Still like raw brocc salad tho.
>>
>>76584151
raw kohlrabi is delicious as long as it's not overripe and woody
>>
>>76582132
Good on you for eating the stalks but at least trim the ends bro that's tough as bark. Personally I cut it just where it starts to get tough and peel of any unsightly parts
>>
>>76581659
Dont buy frozen
>>
Broccoli is my favorite brassica. And I like them all.
>>
>>76581659
>oven on high heat until charred and crispy
>salt and pepper
That's it, retard. A lot of vegetables actually taste good that way. Do not steam, boil, or microwave them unless you want to pair them next to a bland soggy chicken breast and hate your life.
>>

>>
>>76581674
dip em in what?
>>
>>76581659
Buy fresh, steam and then salt. If that's not good to you, grow up or look for a better broccoli supplier. While traveling I have noticed broccoli tastes a little different in different places so maybe you just got unlucky with shitccoli instead of the real stuff.

I steam it then sprinkle tonies on it
>>
Steam it. Dont overcook. Season to taste, takes good amounts of spice too. Pureed as soup with some cheese and toast also good.
>>
>>76584294
>but at least trim the ends bro that's
I love that part, I'll often cut it off and eat it raw while I'm cutting the rest of the stalks up.
>tough as bark.
That's why its so good, its like broccoli jerky.

>toss broccoli in olive oil, salt, pepper and chili flakes
>put in convection oven at 180°C for ~20min or until browned
tastes amazing, 3min of work
>>
>>76582213
>unfortunately roasting them makes them nutritionally worthless so just steam them and accept them as filler
only vitamin B1, B5 and C are really lost from heat
and you're gonna have more losses from the cooking water by washing them out then from the heat

also heat losses are less bad than you think
>250g Broccoli has ~200% of daily Vitamin C
you lose ~30-50% from cooking / baking
oh no...

roasting or steaming broccoli in its own juice in the oven is literally the method that preserves the most vitamins
