Fishing itself out on the trawlers and tuna boats is fun I did it for like 4 years. It'll put some hair on your chest but the sleep deprivation is too great to make max gains without injury. Also it sucks if you're big/tall modern boats are made for small people. Unloading I still do, you get to sleep doing that job.
Stacking containers is another thing stevedores do when they're not in the holds of boats
None. No manual labor job will build your physique. Work from home with a task based workday where you can intensely work for 3-4 hours and get all your tasks done is ideal. Then you have a life again. Time for lifting and mountain hikes. 9-5 5 days a week is hell.

You dig a tunnel through the 20kg blocks as quickly as possible so you can drop a conveyor down by crane into the tunnel you just dug.It's like playing Minecraft in a freezer with 20kg rectangular blocks. Some of my best memories are doing that job. Static X on the boombox hits different when you're digging though a hold making trenches and tunnels and tables etc.Often when we begin a boat we jump down the main hatch then dig down halfway to the floor ready to dig tunnels. From there someone gets nominated to dig a tunnel to the exit hatch before first smoko so we can get out and are not all trapped down there in -40 degrees celsius.A lot of convicts and gang members etc do this job so the banter is all day. Fighting is tolerated if it's down in the freezers.
I work as a 911 operator and they do have a gym where I work. It's like a hotel gym but it also has a power rack in it too so it's pretty useful if I want to do a basic workout for the day.Only bad thing is that the equipment does get packed if it's 2 people in there and they also have cameras since someone was stealing shit from there >>76586924Same thing

You are paid from before toolbox till the following 15 minutes after you get back to the yard and sort laundry. 1 hour on, 30 minutes off and you are paid for the entire day no deductions for lunch or anything. Plus travel allowances and bonuses for this and that such as wet fish bonus and fishmeal bonus.It is rubbish tho how hard and dangerous the job is that it's only slightly above minimum wage.
