Just fast if you're not diabetic yet. If this guy could do it, so can you. No excuses.
>>
>>76586330
Good job anon. Walking is one of the best exercises.
>>
>>76586363
I havent been counting calories or anything, for starters i wanna just normalize eating normally, the only rules of thumb i followed are: no junk food, no liquid calories (except for milk in the morning and with coffee) veggies with every meal and no more than 100 g of carbs per meal
>>
>>76586412
>I don't want to count calories
Enjoy spinning your wheels and not losing weight consistently for the next few years! You can learn to intuitively eat AFTER you gain knowledge of caloric contents in food, not before.

My retard cousin has been trying to "intuitively eat" for the last 4 months and wonders why he isn't losing weight. He just tried calorie counting for the first time and learned that he's been overshooting his estimated calories by about 2k.
>>
Keep going bro. You are putting in effort to change and that is all that matter's. think long term. A year from now with good effort and you will look wayyyy better. God bless.
>>
>>76586447
I second this. I had the opposite problem and tried to bulk with intuitive eating (didn't work great). Once I started tracking I was able to control my weight almost exactly.

Imo the most important thing about tracking your food is what you learn along the way (about food and yourself). You might think you already know everything, about your eating habits, but you actually don't.
>>
>>76586330
Are you keeping track of your weight? If so, any changes yet?
>>
>>76586330
Be strong anon. This shit ain't for the weaklings. This is going to be a long merciless and painful road, where you won't see results in months.
But stay strong and just do it. Regardless of your stupid feelings or lack of motivation, just keep moving and pushing forward
>>
>>76586412
You don't know what "eating normally" is. A little milk here, tiny snack -- people eat snacks, right? -- there. Some sauce and oil, because that's just part of the recipe and not a ton of volume, should be okay too. And dessert after dinner in the weekends isn't bad either--that's why desserts exist and you don't eat it every day.

You're already knocking on the 'beetus reaper's door and you're morbidly obese after years of neglecting yourself. It's good that you realize this, but now is the moment to make REAL changes. No half-assed portion control and 30 minute walks. You need to start counting calories and learn what "normal" actually entails and just how bad you've been fucking your body all this time. Weigh yourself. Daily. Otherwise just give up.

if you aren't tracking weight you should track calories. it's one thing if you're dropping weight to say "nah i'll just eart normally" but not doing either is a recipe for disaster
>>
>>76586508
based. Idk why people are so anti-calorie counting. You talk to normal people and they act like it's the worst thing that you could ever possibly do, like you have to make these monumental life changes and they just can't fathom it. I don't know when that started

I didnt want to be bothered with calorie tracking or counting too and this graph shows it nicely. I am fairly tall and muscular. You might say im a powershitter or powerfat but im just a weightlifter who let himself go from drinking too much beer. I decided to lose some weight and just stopped drinking beer thinking this would do the trick unfortunately it didnt even after 6 months. I then decided to start eating healthier and still only saw about 5lbs of weight loss after MONTHS of lifting and cardio. Then in June I downloaded the myfitnesspal app, set the goal to lose 2lb per week and started logging calories and magically lost 15 lbs in 2 months. I have another 30 or so to go so presumably this will be anywhere from 4-6 months from now assuming no plateaus or weird metabolic slow downs.

Without tracking calories I wouldnt have made this progress. Weighing my food has given me an intuition for food portions. I can measure 250grams of rice within about 2 grams naturally now. I can eyeball a piece of bread and get a decent rough estimate. I know how many calories are in certain types of meats I enjoy and dont even have to weigh them anymore. Im just getting started here but seeing 15lbs melt off and to be able to fit into an XL shirt instead of an XXL is awesome. Just count the calories its worth it. I was actually surprised at how much I could actually eat. Its a reasonable 3 small meals or two big ones per day and even a snack sometimes. Its not draconian.

You did not get fat in 1 week. You won't lose it in 1 week. Keep it up.

Intermittent fasting with 16 hour window between dinner and breakfast. Also wake up with sunrise and go outside for at least 10+ minutes in your fasted state. Bonus points if you stand in the grass with your bare feet while doing it. The light wavelengths from the sunrise supercharge your metabolism for the day.
Also go to bed same time every night so you get at least 8 hours.

Also only water or teas without any added sweetener to drink, nothing else.

Good luck anon you got this.
>>
>>76586508
I don’t snack. It uses up so much of your cellular energy to always be in a state of constant digestion from snacks. It is really ideal to eat at the same time every day and just stick to 2-3 meals, with dinner being the lightest meal of the day.
>>
>>76586632
Everything you said is retarded beyond drinking water.
>>
>>76586673
It is not. You are an organism which has evolved in conjunction with the sun. The sun gives us life and really does run a lot of our cellular processes. We fuck ourselves over with our modern lifestyles and indoor LED lights.

You may laugh but this is literally an ancient esoteric Taoist Immortal practice. 500 years ago you would have had to devote your life to a guru to learn the art of sunning your butthole.
>>
>>76586780
500 years ago I would have also had leeches drink my blood to cure my syphilis infection. Taoist butthole sunning be damned.

Look into research of metabolic physiology coming out of Princeton. Dr. Alexis Cowan is a good place to start.

Wut? Don't you see the most drastic results right at the beginning? He should see a few lbs difference within a matter of weeks

He should be tracking both, let's be real.
Without tracking weight you can't track your progress which is a terrible idea if you want to achieve a long term goal.

Fasting is the easiest way of not counting calories. You have reserves for two world wars anyway.

This whole thread belongs on reddit. Fucking gross annoying fat people.
>>
>>76586567
It’s the same as weighing oneself. People are afraid of objective measurements because they force them to confront the truth.
>>
>>76587515
fasting is the antithesis of fit
>>
>>76587558
it absolutely isn't, fit is muscles but it is also health in general, OP is like 3 persons in weight but has joints of one. his metabolism alone at this point will consume more energy than any exercise he can perform in this state. when he gets BMI below 30 he's good to go more dynamic
>>
>>76587442
True.
I forgot that
Yes, expect big results at the beginning, but then progress slows down. And be aware that losing weight is the easy part. Wait until you want to build muscle.
>>
>>76587459
I agree but not doing either is suicidal
