Are there men who don't need to exercise to be fit and strong? Just a healthy diet and a brisk walk now and then, sort of like women. Why are there no other species cursed with atrophy being the default state?
>>
Humans are highly adaptable
If you exercise you get stronger, if you dont, you get weaker
This is a good thing from a natural perspective

Because your default state is wageslaving for 8 hours, default state for animals is climbing around, running, walking and chewing for hours, or swimming to get food.

I think this is a phylosophical question than anything
Your body literally embodies growth through adversity, and thus from being a weak little monkey we became what are basically eldritch gods in comparison to every other creature around us, because we think that our current state of things is never "enough", you feel more pain than any other animal for a reason, and that is so that you never run out of that "need to improve" mentality that makes us so strong
Do you really think picrel would be achieved if we were just born strong by default?

no, if anyone stops exercising they will atrophy and end up like a skeleton

all of them do, you are just not aware of the muscular activity present in everyday life for most animals like chimps for example who are constantly contracting most of their muscles while merely moving around or gathering food
any animal that stops exercising atrophies incredibly quickly, we have studies on this

this
chimps are constantly pulling and pushing with all their limbs every day, they even use their forearms while moving casually
