What's the critical period during which most novices/fatties give up, and when does it get easier? Do loners give up sooner or those with support?
>>76587394>critical period during which most novices/fatties give upprobably when they are one month in and expected huge change, preferably visibly or in weight and nothing has changed yet. >Do loners give up sooner or those with support?sounds like it depends on a multitude of factors. wrong support and comparison can make one quit quicker than a loner who takes their timegenerally, fitness is a journey, and the motivation you start out with might not even be the same twenty years in. the novice has to start somewhere and keep in mind to adapt and enjoy it, then the road is long, and that it should be
>>76587394I have tried to get a couple fat friends to go to the gym with me and the answer is usually the first day. They have 0 motivation or perserverance. They are mountains of excuses. At the first sign of elevated heart rate and discomfort they are coming up with reasons they cant come in tomorrow.
>>76587517Most ultrafats should just cut their food intake until they get somewhat mobile, but most people can be half assed even to control themselves

>>76587394My girlfriend is a chubby fucking nerd, she gives great head and has a fat ass, but I hate her gut. Meanwhile I'm in tremendous physical shape. I tried getting her to hike with me this summer, first time she was outta breath, kept stopping, but finished. Second time she complained the whole way to the mountain, then we packed it in 3/4th of the way due to her bitching. She has no idea her lazy slovenly behavior is why im starting to look elsewhere. Alas though that is who she was when I met, and you cannot save someone who does not believe their drowning.
Most people in society are struggling. Tired, burnt out, bad diet, no exercise. They are too tired to workout and eat properly and are depressed so they eat junk food to feel better for the evening after coming home from their shitty and stressful jobIf you havent been depressed and overtired before you wont get it but to a wagey thats struggling the thought of pumpiong iron at 7pm when youve been busy all day feels too hard to bear. Its especially hard when you start out and you ache, huff and puff and its a real challenge to do it.It gets easier overtime and usually you get motivated to eat better and have more energy if you stick at it but for most people theyre too tired and too depressed to get over the hump so they stay down in the dumpsTheres also other idiosyncrasies of people that is hard to work out. I notice that many depressed people (and people in general) can oftentimes have this mindset of narcissism (sometimes referred to as pride) where they feel like they shouldnt have to jump through hoops to be accepted. The thought of having to do this pointless, hard, long task just to look better to them means they have to accept theyre not great in the moment, because to accept you have to improve means you are currently failing. They hate the thought of failing so they pretend it doesnt exist. You may hear statements like>Fit people are so self-obsessed! (irony since they are utterly self obessed)>god I want someone who likes to eat!>I dont wanna eat salads all day!EAsier to cope then to do
>>76587595I also forgot to mention that theres a sort of unwritten contract in working out and looking after yourself that there will be tangible benefits down the lineIf you are isolated and depressed and cant see a way out of your own mess then its utterly pointless working towards the future for gains in social life, appearance and mood. To them its all pointless when in the depths of depression
>>76587517People like that have never done anything hard in their lives and they’re terrified they’re going to kill themselves by working out a little because they actually feel like they’re dying. It’s a tragedy when parents don’t put kids in sports
