>cures your depression
>>
Depression doesnt exist, its a neo term used to justify wasting tax money on fatties and women who dont want to work.
>>
>>76594520
the irony of shit talking women while spouting anti science nonsense. I have a few essential oil to sell to you, if you're interested.

Creatine
>improves cognitive function
>cures your depression
>accelerates hairloss
Fin

>makes you depressed
>cures hairloss

Can someone redpill me on creatine and balding?

this particular piece of shit makes me depressed even more because of how gritty and grainy it is.

costco made the right decision to dump these.

>>

Creatine raises DHT, which is why it has all those cognitive and mood improving side effects. It's basically reverse fin.
If you don't have balding genes you can take it safely.
>>
>>76594580
>accelerates hairloss
But i don’t have hairloss?

I take creatine and fin :)

No it doesn't. Creatine having any correlation with hair loss has been debunked. And DHT has nothing to do with mood, roid trannies kill the selves all the time

Gotta source on that? Lifting makes me feel better, whether or not I'm taking creatine. I haven't tried creatinevwithout lifting, but my guess is if had actual efficacy doctors would be prescribing it.
>>
>>76596630
Idk bro I was sort of thinning before creatine and then when I started taking it my shedding went into overdrive. The shedding slowed down back to my normal rate after a couple weeks of quitting crearine. Purely anecdotal. However I’d recon that if you’re susceptible to hairloss it will make it worse. If hairloss wasn’t an issue to begin with then you won’t have to worry about creatine causing hairloss.
>>
>>76594520

Depression leaving my body when I never have to worry about money again and had a bitch that worshipped me like a God

creatine does almost nothing, if anything, for my workout

>>76594580
false. bro pseudo science you can only find on 4chan/incel forums
>>
>>76596630
There's a fuckton of personal and anecdotal testinonies of people saying creatine increased their hairfall considerably. It hasn't been officially proven or debunked because nobody has funded a proper, large scale study on it yet. The 'study' that's most commonly cited only had one Rugby team as a sample size, nowhere near enough. There's just too many people saying it does increase hairloss to dismiss
>>
>>76597250
>a fuckton of personal and anecdotal testimonies
Yeah, on this board, lol. This nonsense is from one study in 2009 that couldn’t be replicated and has been disproven many times since; people just kept repeating it. Even if creatine increased dht, you could just block it with finasteride. People want something to blame for their problems, just like all those sad-sack, diabetic fatasses on forums invented “post-finasteride syndrome” to absolve themselves of any responsibility for their shitty, unhealthy lifestyles causing ED.
>>
>>76597250
It could also be due to aging
>>
>>76596357
Balding is caused by testosterone which is produced in the body via DHT, creatine raises testosterone=more DHT=more bald

every weightlifter is bald for a reason, if they aren't they are on fin as well.
>>
>>76594520
I don't even know what the word means.

unironically does it? I'm not >le depressed, but I am pretty unmotivated, room's a mess, not feeling great, etc

what supps can help to kickstart yourself out of a rut like this? obviously I know cardio and being healthy and stuff is good but it's nice to have something to take that makes you feel a bit better and a bit more ready to do stuff (but that's not actually a drug)
>>
>>76597250
Something to consider is that people can temporarily lose some hair when they lose a lot of weight. I can imagine them picking up creatine and making a false-correlation. Most people picking up creatine are probably doing it fairly early on in their fitness. Also since balding correlates with age, basically everything could appear to have some correlation with balding when it's just aging.

>>76597377
Based. I took fin with zero side-effects. I've actually gotten a bit hornier because my general fitness has improved since then. Only regret is not starting sooner.
>>
>>76599596
I'd recommend vitamin D and magnesium glycinate to get out of a depressive rut.
>>
>>76599604
I'll take those, but why do you recommend them?
>>
>>76594615
+ makes you bloated
>>
>>76599619
NTA but vitamin D alone cured my depression. It's vital to a ton of body functions and hormone production. If you're not getting enough sun your vitamin D levels fall and you get depression. That's what season affective disorder is. Except now we have SAD all year round because we're always indoors. Magnesium just makes me sleep better and be less stressed.
>>
>does nothing
>>
>>76599644
Bloated how? In the gut, or skin?
>>
>>76596357
Its retards who think they'll go bald if they take creatine. Androgenic alopecia is almost always genetic.
>>
>>76594493
I started it four weeks ago, it's either helping or I'm just slowly getting over my lingering depression I've had since spring. What it did for sure was bloat me, even after drinking a bunch of water. I lost a lot of definition in my core but did noticeably bulk up a bit. Worth it.
>>
Is creatine HCL in tablet form any good? Monohydrate makes me bloated and shit piss all the time
>>
>>76599598
>Only regret is not starting sooner
Same. I got scared by those same pfs forums for a long time because they seemed like the only information about fin out there back in 2011-2013. It took me a few years to realize how full of shit those guys are; fortunately the damage to my hair wasn’t too catastrophic, probably still will get a small transplant at some point. Fuck those forums.
>>
>>76599970
HCL works fine but is expensive compared to monohydrate. I suggest getting a better brand of monohydrate. Powder is easier than tablets. Just stay away gummies because they’re a scam with varying amounts of the active ingredient.

>>
>>76596357
There was one (1) study done onbrowers which showed a slight increase in dht on the group who took 10g of creatine per day.
The results of that study haven't been replicated yet, including a recent study that not only meassured test and dht levels but also folicle density and width, concluding that there's no relation between creatine and hairloss.

Same duration that the study who got people riled up about creatine and hairloss.
Funny how nobody linked creatine and hairloss until that one (1) study came out and the internet got flooded with unverifiable anecdotal "evidence".
>>

The only two times I took creatine I got super nauseous for like 2 hours after. Thinking about trying it again though since that was a long time ago.

The study everyone cites to claim creatine causes hairloss:
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/19741313/

Several other studies show no relation between creatine supplementation and free trstosterone (which is the one that gets converted to dht):
